Daniel M. Extrom

Daniel Extrom won his first injury arbitration case for his injured client many years ago. The arbitrators awarded his client twice what had been offered by the insurance company. Dan has since represented hundreds of injured plaintiffs, obtaining favorable results in countless cases. His experience on both the plaintiff side and the defense side of injury cases enables him to know how opposing lawyers think and analyze cases. He knows how to anticipate potential problems and to develop strategies to confront and overcome those problems. He understands that the legal system can sometimes be confusing and frustrating for clients, and he encourages clients to bring their questions and he values their input. Dan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Dan and his wife have lived in Lake Zurich for many years.

Denise J. Adams

Denise is a litigation paralegal committed to assuring her clients receive the best possible result for their case. She is empathetic, analytical, and adept at juggling multiple tasks and assignments. Denise supports the trial attorneys in the firm, whether they are writing and filing trial court and appellate briefs, creating pleadings and motions, or preparing for trial. Denise is also in regular contact with our clients whose cases are in litigation, keeping them informed about the progress on their cases, and keeping their cases moving toward resolution. When not at the office, Denise is a home gourmet chef and avid reader. In her spare time, she enjoys hearing live music at local venues, and attending many other festive social events with her friends and family. Denise is one of our go-to litigation paralegals, and we are happy she is part of our team. Denise J. Adams joined the Law Offices of R.F. Wittmeyer, Ltd. in 2011, and she focuses her practice on plaintiff's personal injury cases. Denise graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Admitted to the practice of law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for Northern District of Illinois in 1985, she began her practice working for a major insurance company's house counsel for nine years. Denise continued to practice in the field of personal injury law working for other firms. She also served as an arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program.

Gregory W. La Cost

James M. Payne

Based in Kenosha, James has dedicated his efforts to representing injured persons throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, including Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee, and Lake Geneva, among others. Prior to joining the firm, James worked at a Kenosha area law firm for six years practicing personal injury, employment law litigation, and general civil litigation. James is dedicated to his clients and is passionate about helping those who have been injured. He ensures that he is available for clients and listens to any concerns they may have. At the core of his work, he wants his clients to walk away with the full and adequate compensation they deserve. James grew up in Waukesha County and attended Arrowhead High School. He is a lifelong Wisconsinite and supporter of all things Wisconsin (go Packers!) He currently resides in Racine with his wife and two children. James is a graduate of the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University where he served as an Articles Editor for the Temple Review. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in Political Science and Psychology.

Ronald F. Wittmeyer

With over thirty years of experience, Ronald F. Wittmeyer, Jr. has successfully represented thousands of clients, many of whom have suffered serious or fatal injuries. Mr. Wittmeyer is committed to aggressively prosecute every client's case. He believes that each individual is entitled to the same quality of representation as large companies and insurance carriers. Ron Wittmeyer believes that a person innocently injured as a result of the negligence or wrongful conduct of an individual or company is entitled to full and adequate compensation for their injuries. Ronald was born and then raised his family in Arlington Heights, Illinois. His connection to the northwest suburbs runs deep and he feels strongly about the strength of the community. He is a founding member of the Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers organization. He also graduated from Prospect High School, which serves Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights. Ronald F. Wittmeyer, Jr. practices plaintiffs' personal injury law, and has his office in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Mr. Wittmeyer attended Northern Illinois University College of Law, graduating cum laude and passing the bar in 1982. While at NIU, Mr. Wittmeyer was the Managing Editor of the Law Review. Before his career as an attorney, Ron Wittmeyer spent five years working as an insurance adjuster for two nationwide insurance companies. Admitted to the practice of law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Mr. Wittmeyer began his practice with a defense firm, where he worked until he founded The Law Offices of R. F. Wittmeyer, Ltd. in 1984. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1978, majoring in political science. He has enjoyed working as an Arlington Heights lawyer for thirty years. Mr. Wittmeyer is happily married to his wife, Carol, with whom he has 2 children and recently welcomed his first grandchild into the family. Ron and his family lives in Arlington Heights. Achievements A writer and lecturer on civil litigation and personal injury law, Ron Wittmeyer is a former Chairperson of the Civil Litigation Committee of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and former President of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association. Recently, Ronald F. Wittmeyer received the Excellence in Public Service Award for his leadership in the development of the Legal Self Help Center at the Rolling Meadows Courthouse from the Northwest Suburban Bar Association (NWSBA). The center does not give legal advice nor represent people in court, but does provide legal information and offers help in completing legal forms to assist pro se litigants in representing themselves. In addition to benefiting those individuals who visit the center, we hope the legal self-help center will in some small way contribute to the efficient administration of justice at the Rolling Meadows courthouse. From the beginning, we saw this as an opportunity to use the Association's resources to provide a much-needed public service. The Center provides another way for us to give back to the citizens of the communities in which our members live and work." With its success, Mr. Wittmeyer hopes that the center will be able to help more visitors to the courthouse navigate the Cook County judicial system. Mr. Wittmeyer is also Board Certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (accredited by the American Bar Association). This is the ultimate stamp of competency, qualifications, and professionalism. Certification is granted only after years of trial practice, recommendations from trial judges and fellow attorneys, successful completion of examinations, and demonstrations of professionalism. Ronald Wittmeyer received the Illinois Super Lawyers Award in 2007. This prestigious award is given to attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
