INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING
Updated 993 days ago
IRIS (Integrating Research in Interactive Storytelling) was an EU-funded project (Network of Excellence, FP7-ICT-231824) running from January 2009 to December 2011. The official website of IRIS is http://iris.scm.tees.ac.uk...
In our technical context, we define Interactive Digital Storytelling (IDS) as "the endeavour to develop new media in which the presentation of a narrative, and its evolution, can be influenced, in real-time, by the user". Here, we present parts of the results of 3 years of research in the work package "Authoring Tools and Creation Methods". One of the main IRIS objectives has been to "make the next generation of Interactive Storytelling technologies more accessible to authors and content creators of different media backgrounds (scriptwriters, storyboarders, game designers)".
