Alex Cord is a Senior Director on the Marketing Services team, focused primarily in advertising and design with a specialization in creative and strategy. Prior to joining IQ PARTNERS, Alex worked in Media and Entertainment, where she focused on in-house recruitment. In this capacity, Alex learned the other side of the coin, gaining a strong understanding of the challenges faced by hiring managers while also gaining a solid foundation in recruitment best practices. Alex holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Research with Honours from Wilfrid Laurier University. Being a student of psychology solidified her fascination with understanding how people operate - she has the ability to empathetically get to the root of what makes people "tick". Alex is motivated by helping companies find the best people for the job, and helping people find the right environment for them to succeed in.

Bruce Powell - CEO

Bruce co-founded IQ PARTNERS in 2001 and currently operates as Managing Partner. Bruce began his career at Procter & Gamble and progressed into senior management roles in marketing and communications before finding his true calling in executive search. His personal background includes hands-on management experience in sales, marketing and marketing services. He has built management teams for a wide variety of mar/com, media and technology companies, and has also participated in several M&A transactions for service-based companies. Bruce is an advocate of ‘smart people' and humble intelligence. He's a passionate entrepreneur and derives great satisfaction helping growth companies achieve success. He is an active board member and advisor to several industry associations and companies.

With 6+ years of experience in sales and recruitment, Claire's main objective is to connect great people to great companies by building strong relationships with both top clients and candidates in the sales industry. Magda Jarota is a Director on the Marketing Services team, specializing in communications and public relations, with a broader focus on strategy, advertising, design and all things digital. Before joining IQ PARTNERS, Magda spent five years at a boutique recruitment agency, where she led a variety of searches within public relations, communications, strategy, design, marketing and advertising. While there, Magda led the company culture initiatives as well as internal recruitment strategy. Magda kicked off her career working in the PR industry. She spent just shy of 10 years in a boutique PR agency, where she specialized in media and influencer relations, and executed a number of award-winning campaigns for clients in the CPG, beauty, retail and consumer tech space. With a people first approach, Magda prioritizes relationship building, trust and authenticity as the foundation of how she approaches her job day-to-day. Magda holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. A life-long learner, Magda also completed the Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate at IDEO U, and Hiring for Decolonization, Diversity and Inclusion in the Creative Industries through OCAD University.

Prior to joining IQ PARTNERS, Neeral spent 20 years living and working in the UK. He spent his time there in senior brand and marketing roles for globally recognized Fortune 500 consumer goods and hospitality companies and leading management consulting firms. He has functional experience in brand management, strategy and planning, marketing effectiveness, and category management. Neeral holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and an MBA from London Business School. Neeral believes that people are the true differentiator in every aspect of a business, and that there is no bigger impact on a business than having the right people in the right positions. Combining his more than 20 years of corporate experience and his love for connecting with people, Neeral transitioned to a career in recruiting. Randy Quarin

Randy co-founded IQ PARTNERS in 2001 and currently operates as a Senior Partner, focusing on business development within executive search, cannabis, media, and sales recruitment. A native of Kingston and a graduate of Queen's University, Randy moved to Toronto in the mid-eighties to pursue a career in marketing communications with AC Nielsen and Leo Burnett, where he worked in client services with tier-one consumer packaged goods firms. After his time in advertising, Randy then spent five years in software application sales in the logistics industry. Before entering the world of executive search, he was one of the first dedicated recruiters during what he calls "Internet 1.0" -- the first internet startup era. Randy now has 20+ years of search business experience. He believes strongly in the old adage that "persistence overcomes resistance" and will dig in any corner to find the best person for a client. His accomplishments include building over a dozen digital media sales teams for digital start-ups, publishers, and mobile app developers. He has also helped launch an international smartphone manufacturer from the ground up, building its entire hardware, software, and sales teams.

He specializes in prospecting new business relationships, client retention and renewals, and building top performing Sales teams in even the most challenging environments. Rhys started his Sales career at the age of 12, canvassing door-to-door for the Toronto Sun and has never looked back. After completing his BComm from Ryerson, he joined one of the largest and most successful event management organizations in the world. Rhys worked his way up from an entry level Sales Representative to a top performing Senior Sales Manager, eventually becoming the Director of Recruitment for North America prior to joining IQ PARTNERS. Rhys is a tenacious, top performing senior sales and recruitment professional with 15+ years of experience that spans a variety of industry verticals including Technology, Software, Advertising, Finance, Healthcare, Legal, Retail, and Industrial.
