JCR HOMEBUILDERS - Key Persons

Gene Sury

Job Titles:
  • Owner - Construction / Sales
Gene Sury is a graduate of Texas A&MUniversity and an experienced builder with a track record of success. Gene began a distinguished career working for Emerald Homes as an assistant builder, and through hard work and determination quickly worked his way up to senior builder in charge of multiple houses and communities. After leaving Emerald Homes, Gene began working for Darling Homes. Although Gene enjoyed working for these builders and won numerous awards, he felt that there were many things in the building process that needed improvement. The most important issue is customer satisfaction. Gene likes to say, "Anyone can build a quality home, but very few can provide an enjoyable and stress free building experience that not only meets but exceeds the buyers expectations. That is the reason that JCR Homebuilders, LLC was created!"

Michael Hurlbut

Job Titles:
  • Owner - Administration / Sales
Michael Hurlbut earned his degree from Texas A&MUniversity and immediately began his home building career as the controller for Daybreak Custom Homes. Although he grew up around the homebuilding industry, it was at Daybreak that he learned the details of the business. He started in accounting and finance, and quickly assumed roles in sales and construction. Michael explains his vision for JCR Homebuilders, "After several years of building custom homes exclusively over $500,000, it was apparent to me that we could build custom homes not only under $500,000, but starting at $150,000. We could build 1800 square feet to 15000 square feet. We can compete in all price ranges, build a quality product, and still offer that excellent one-on-one customer service that you can't find with the huge production home builders. When you buy a home from those guys you're wondering who do you call for answers: the construction supervisor, the salesperson, the regional office, the corporate office, or the service hotline? I guess for me simple is better. Why not have a direct line to the owners if you have any questions?"
