JOEL ISAACSON - Key Persons
Elizabeth joined the Joel Isaacson team in the Fall of 2010 bringing with her over 20 years of experience. Elizabeth is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company, her role includes fiscal planning, budgeting, financial reporting and audit compliance.
Elizabeth enjoys collaborating with colleagues to establish policies and develop improvements in the firm's operations, overall performance and team experience.
Elizabeth obtained her BBA in Public Accounting from Hofstra University. She began her career in public accounting with BDO Seidman in NYC and transitioned into the private sector, spending the majority of her accounting career in the mortgage banking industry as a Controller and liaison with financial and regulatory auditors.
Elizabeth lives on Long Island with her husband & family. She enjoys professional networking, entertaining, reading & escaping to Marco Island whenever she can.

Johnny L. Wells joined the Joel Isaacson tax team in the Spring of 2022. He brings with him 10 years of both public and private industry experience specializing in tax for high-net-worth individuals, families and trusts and estates.
Johnny received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters in Professional Accountancy from Bryant University. He holds an Enrolled Agent license from the Internal Revenue Service. He is lives in Manchester, CT with his wife and family. He is an avid fan for the New York Jets, Yankees and Knicks. He loves to spend time with his family, travel and cook. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for his middle school, The Rectory School located in Pomfret, CT.

Lee Steinmetz, CPA, MBA, is a Partner who joined the firm in 1999. Lee brings over 30 years of experience, specializing in tax and accounting for individuals, small businesses and retirement planning.
Lee is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He is a former Chairman of the Nassau County chapter of the NYSSCPA's State and Local Taxation and Computer Usage committees, and has served on both its Executive Board and Board of Directors. Lee has lectured for various business and professional organizations, including the NYSSCPA, and is routinely quoted in a variety of financial publications.
Lee holds a BBA in Accounting from Adelphi University and a MBA in Finance from Hofstra University.
Lee enjoys doing home renovations for himself and his friends on Long Island. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, skiing, and playing golf and softball.
Maggie Platia, EA joined Joel Isaacson & Co in August 2021, bringing with her over 10 years of experience specializing in tax services for ultra-high net worth individuals and families. Maggie attended Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, where she earned her BBA in Accountancy and MS in Taxation.
Maggie lives on Long Island with her fiancé. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach in the summertime, and dining out.

Rebecca Cioffi joined Joel Isaacson & Co., in 2011. She brings with her over 10 years of experience specializing in tax and accounting for high net worth individuals, families, and small businesses.
Rebecca received her BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University. She lives in Westchester and enjoys traveling and going to concerts in her spare time.

Stephanie Hensen has been with the firm since 2009 and takes pride in connecting with each of her clients. She went to Rutgers University where she received her BS in Political Science with a minor in Economics. Planning to head to law school, Joel Isaacson took a chance and brought her in for an interview where she has since stayed for over 10 years. Stephanie earned her certificate in Financial Planning through New York University.
Stephanie lives in Sussex County with her husband and daughter. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her nephews, hiking with her dog and local distilleries.
