DAVID LEHMAN

DAVID LEHMAN After more than six years as Director of Engineering at his previous employer, David formed a new company in 1996. With this new venture, Lehman Design Consultants, Inc., his goal is to maintain his high standards in the mechanical and electrical design fields. David Lehman's professional career dates to 1979 and includes five years with H. S. Nachman and Associates and over twelve years with Gamze Korobkin Caloger, Inc. He has extensive experience with all types of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for a wide variety of single and mixed use projects. Projects include: university, offices, public institutions, health care facilities & hospitals, museums, apartments, restaurants, thermal storage systems, and cogeneration plants. David brings a nuts and bolts practical approach with sensitivity to architectural and owner program requirements. He is affiliated with American Society of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Building Officials and Code Administration (BOCA), American Consulting Engineers Council (ACEC), American Society of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), and Construction Specification Institute (CSI). He is a Registered Architect (RA) and Certified in Plumbing Engineering (CIPE). He received a Bachelor of Architecture in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois in Chicago.

JOSE URZAGASTE

JOSE URZAGASTE has 26 years of experience in industrial, institutional and commercial Energy Conservation, enhancing productivity and commissioning building systems. His industrial clients include manufacturers of farm equipment, food products, pharmaceuticals, textiles, rubber, chemicals, glass fiber; foundries, telecommunication centers, power plants and utilities. Institutional and commercial clients include schools, hospitals and office/administrative buildings. His services include analysis and design of energy savings modifications to production processes and building systems, assistance during implementation, training of staff, evaluation of performance. He also develops and implements action plans to enhance worker productivity at the production floor and in the office. Since 1991 he has been sole proprietor of Management Innovations in St. Charles, Illinois and provides a unique combination of services to improve energy and labor productivity in the workplace. Previous positions included Corporate Energy Manager for the Kellog Company in Battle Creek, MI, and Energy Project Engineer for the John Deere Company in Waterloo, IA. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from McPherson College, McPherson, KS.

MARK RASMUSSEN

MARK RASMUSSEN has 15 years experience providing energy services to institutional, commercial, residential and industrial customers. Projects include: colleges & universities, office buildings, multi-family public housing, hospitals, industrial facilities, and LEED Clients. He is responsible for lighting system design and analysis, building energy modeling, developing and implementing treatments for electric motors and drives, installation and management of remote electrical metering and electricity demand management systems. Prior to his employment with J. T. Katrakis & Associates he provided similar services as Sole Proprietor of Energy Specialists in Plainfield, IL and as an employee of the Center for Neighborhood Technology. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, Green Lights Certified, and a member of the Illuminating Engineers Society of North America.

MICHAEL CUSACK

MICHAEL CUSACK joined Lehman Design Consultants in 1998 as Project Engineer responsible for the design and of HVAC systems for a wide variety of commercial, institutional and industrial building projects. He previously did HVAC design for Holabird and Root and for Metro Design and for O'hare Engineering contractors. His design skills are augmented by his previous experience doing plant engineering management at Oakton College, facilities engineering management for Heitman Property Management and plant engineering management for manufacturing facilities. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and an Associates Degree in Business from Harper College. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois, Florida, Ohio, Connecticut, Minnesota and is a member of the NCEE.
