Julie is a farm girl from southeastern Minnesota, but has called Raleigh home for more than 40 years. She hates cold weather and never visits Minnesota in the winter! She is an active member of Rotary International and has helped them with several projects in Nicaragua, including construction of libraries and schools. When not at work, Julie values her time spent with her 7 grandchildren. A very versatile grandmother, Julie also specializes in wrestling, running, softball and basketball, tennis, ice skating, rock skipping, and frog catching! Having been referred to as "Mother Nature", "The Green Queen", "Land Momma", and so on...rumor has that Julie has sold several times the water front property where God parted the Red Sea for Moses and the Isrealites to cross!
