K2IMAGING - Key Persons

Karl Mehrer currently owns and operates New York City-based K2imaging, Inc., specializing in leasing and operating HD, 2K and 4K projection systems for application in the live event, film and video presentation industries. Karl also runs The K2imaging Screening Room in Brooklyn. K2imaging has been an equipment vendor and consultant since 2003 for the Tribeca Film Festival. Clients include the Nantucket, Lighthouse, Doha Tribeca and MountainFilm of Telluride Film Festivals. As a consultant for Boston Light and Sound, Karl (also known as "K2") has worked at Sundance, the Hamptons, Central Park and Dominican Republic Global Film Festivals. K2imaging continues to nurture its live event clients Macy's, Comedy Central, LL Cool J, Avid and several annual medical conferences for which K2 provides high resolution projection systems for surgical review and analysis. Since 2011, K2imaging has purchased six D-Cinema projection systems to support its film festival and industry clients. In 2016, Karl was named Technical Director for Godfrey Reggio's global film tour of the 4K film, "Visitors." He and his wife have lived in New York since 2003.
