Adrienne Parsons

Adrienne Parsons: Creative Consultant involved in the development and implementation of the Premier's Sport Awards Program (p.s.a.p.) and Action Schools! BC (2014 - 2015). She comes equipped with a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Environmental Design and a childhood creating alongside her mom, fibre artist Marianne Parsons. She is currently Vice President of Artists in the Village Non-Profit Society and a member of the Dioptiks photography group. From graphic design to photography to copy writing, she thrives when faced with a creative challenge. She helps businesses and organizations get their message out in a fresh and clever way as a creative consultant (adrienneparsons.ca). Adrienne loves the outdoors and being physically active. She can regularly be found riding her bike on her lunchbreaks or cheering on her two children playing sports on the weekend.

Jennifer Fenton

Jennifer Fenton: Health, Physical Activity and Sport Education Consultant responsible for the Premier's Sport Awards Program (p.s.a.p.) (1987-2015) from inception and the Action Schools! BC initiative (2004 - 2015). On the national level Jennifer is an advocate for gender equity, she is involved in numerous endeavours promoting physical activity and sport at a grass roots level including: Past Chair of the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS); Past Chair of ProMOTION Plus and current Chair of Active North Shore Network. She is the recipient of the ProMOTION Plus (2010) and Orienteering BC President's Awards (2008). Jennifer has co-authored innumerous articles and handbooks including the most recent community and evidence based Intercultural Physical Activity Guide (filled with 35 culturally diverse and inclusive games). Jennifer has a Master's from UBC exploring grade 4 girls' experiences from a low income area in Physical Education. She is a multi-sport children's coach, an active mom of two children and avid outdoor enthusiast who can be seen cycling, hiking and kayaking around Vancouver's spectacular playscape.

Sarah Lockman

Sarah Lockman: Health, Physical Activity and Sport Education Consultant involved in the development and implementation of the Premier's Sport Awards Program (p.s.a.p.) and Action Schools! BC (2012 - 2014). Sarah earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Arts in Cultural Studies from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. Sarah has spent most of her career in educational programming and curriculum development in formal and informal educational settings, including elementary, secondary and post-secondary classrooms, as well as non-profit organizations. She is currently the Manager of Professional Development in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia, and the Operations Strategist for the Networks of Inquiry & Indigenous Education. Sarah has a passion for nature and the outdoors, where she enjoys trail runs with her dog, Maya, and exploring the lakes, rivers and ocean coastlines of beautiful British Columbia.

Shana Alexander

Shana Alexander: Health, Physical Activity and Sport Education Consultant involved in the development and implementation of the Premier's Sport Awards Program (p.s.a.p.) and Action Schools! BC (2004 - 2015). Shana earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria, and a post-graduate diploma in Sport Business Management from Algonquin College. Shana shares her love of physical activity with soon-to-be and new moms as a pre and post natal fitness specialist and instructor for Fit4Two. She is also a Board Member for the Vancouver International Children's Festival and has been a committee member for Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland. She has two young children and can be found on wet Saturday mornings coaching her daughter's soccer team.

Sydney Millar

Sydney Millar: Health, Physical Activity and Sport Education Consultant involved in the development and implementation of the Premier's Sport Awards Program (p.s.a.p.) and Action Schools! BC (2004 - 2015). Sydney earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University, and a Master's Degree in Leisure and Sport Management at the University of British Columbia. Sydney was the National Program Director for CAAWS, involved primarily in initiatives to increase opportunities for inactive girls and young women to participate in sport and physical activity. Sydney lives in Chelsea, Quebec, just north of Ottawa. She can often be found zipping around the Gatineau hills on her bike or skis.
