DORIS GUENTNER

Doris represents KBC in the Bryan-College Station area. Doris has worked in kitchen and interior design since 1984. She began her career in Munich, Germany, where she worked for over 20 years for several design studios. She was manager at SieMatic, Poggenpol, and other kitchen studios throughout Germany. Doris has also given several industry seminars, a favorite being the IMM/Cologne presentation of the first computer screen used in the kitchen mounted under an upper cabinet. Doris also spent time in Dubai, where she designed over 1,000 kitchens for residential and commercial properties. She was instrumental in the opening of the first SieMatic showroom in Dubai and trained local staff to understand the SieMatic concept. Her portfolio also includes many villas on the famous Palm Islands. She has freelanced for design firms in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle. HUGH KIMERY

  • Technical Designer
Hugh joined KBC in early 2018 as a Technical Designer after almost five years' experience working for a European cabinet manufacturer. He received a BA in Interior Architecture from The Art Institute in Houston in 2015. Hugh brings to KBC his technical talent and expertise in producing detailed drawings and specifications for luxury kitchen and bath projects, managing order processing and some project management. With his attention to detail and passion for client satisfaction, Hugh is an integral part of KBC's Team.

MELISSA SHARP

Job Titles:
  • Senior Designer, Allied ASID
Melissa has a degree in Interior Design with a background in Residential Design, working under licensed Interior Designers for several years, before coming to Kitchen & Bath Concepts. She is an individual member of NKBA and is an Allied Member of ASID. She has served in several positions on the local board for the NKBA, as well as serving on a committee for ASID, both for their respective Texas Gulf Coast Chapters. Since coming to KBC, she has worked her way up from a Design Assistant to the owners, to a Senior Kitchen & Bath Designer, leading her own team. Since coming to KBC, she has won several local awards, as well as a few national awards. Melissa singularly won a local 2018 ASID Ruby Award, "Best Emerging Professional in Residential," for her Kitchen and Bathroom designs. This project also won Runner-Up Regionally, at the 2018 Wood-Mode 75th Anniversary Awards for "Best Bathroom". She Received a local 2018 ASID Ruby Award and 2018 Regional Winner and National Finalist Wood-Mode 75th Anniversary Award for "Best Kitchen," in conjunction with Owner Micqui McGowen, playing an integral team contributor role in these wins as well as several other Industry Awards for the "Team." In 2019, she also singularly won a local ASID Ruby Award for "Best of Residential Design" for a Kitchen she designed. (In 2020, there were no award ceremonies held, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.) In 2021, she won another local ASID Ruby Award in the "Designer/Industry Partner Collaboration" category, for a kitchen she co-designed with a local Interior Designer, Melissa/KBC acting as the Industry Partner.
