From 1989 to 2000, Ms. Borriello served as a Paralegal & Legal Assistant supporting various practice areas including, but not limited to, commercial litigation, products liability, torts, wrongful death and multiple class action and multi-district litigation matters. While serving as a Paralegal, she was selected by her Managing Partner to travel nationwide to meet with clients and maintain the firm's various client relationships. During this time, she worked with hundreds of clients, union members and business managers conducting educational seminars and client meetings explaining the litigation and discovery process. As a result, she has hands-on experiences managing and supporting workflow needs providing her a solid understanding of the various challenges and day-to-day operations and the importance of maintain an effective, efficient and productive practice. In 2000, Sandy became a Firm Administrator and, to date, has served various practice needs for small, mid-sized and large international practices. In addition to mentoring new administrators, she has worked directly with law firms and outside consultants to assist Firms and Managing Shareholder seeking growth, reorganization and presence - essentially leading law firms to the next level. She has contributed extensively to the decision-making process and works closely with managing partners, shareholders and executive management committees in establishing and implementing objectives that essentially lead a Firm to success and allow your attorneys to practice law. Sandy is also a member of SHRM, (Society for Human Resources Management, Florida Lawyers Network & the South Florida & West Palm Beach Chapters of the Association of Legal Administrators where she served on the Board of Directors for 4 years. As an active member of these professional affiliations, she has developed tremendous relationships with a diversity of colleagues and legal business partners which have proven an essential resource in supporting specific day-to-day law firm needs. Ms. Borriello has served as an Administrator liaison and consultant and is available to assist attorneys looking to grow their practice, begin a new practice or restructure an existing office. This process requires evaluating and comparing your existing operation to your future goals and creating and/or streamlining a strategic plan. Ms. Borriello has been recognized for conducting topic relevant presentations for Firm Retreats, workshops and Professional organizations on industry related topics including "Tackling Social Media in the Workplace", "How to be a Great Legal Manager & Stay Sane" and "Managing an Effective, Productive & Profitable Practice". Her hands-on experience has proven invaluable has given her personal insight that law firms contend with on a daily basis. She has managed all relative Firm departments including, legal assistants, paralegals, office services, recruiting, marketing, professional development, human resources and benefits, records management, information technology and research - all of which all0w her to share 1st hand knowledge and expertise with your firm's individual vision & mission. She has personally coordinated summer associate orientation programs, new hire orientations/training for staff and lateral hires, attorney and staff retreats and client events. As a Legal Manager and Administrator, Ms. Borriello has worked with Managing Partners, Shareholders and Executive Management Committees to serve as a liaison between attorneys, staff, vendors and clients to successfully implementing administrative policies and procedures that ensure smooth and economic operations by being accountable for preparation and compliance of a Firm's operating budgeting by monitoring variances and expenses and billable time and collections are pursued timely. Additionally, her professional affiliations, resources and business partner network allow her to work with any Firm to meet objectives and maintain a competitive market edge.
