Since 1972, Chris Webster has pursued and enjoyed a professional career that has included property and business development, brokerage, appraisal and analysis, consulting, art and cultural activities, and publishing. Additionally, he has served as an officer and director of numerous for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises and institutions and led several important sales and exit strategies that have delivered successful outcomes for the companies involved. Chris Webster launched his professional real estate and entrepreneurial career with the acquisition and redevelopment of a mixed-use commercial building and small ranch in 1972 and by 1976, had established his brokerage and consulting business, WEBSTER ESTATES, on the historic Plaza in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Chris, through his firm, subsequently became the exclusive affiliate of Leading Estates of the World and Sotheby's International Realty in New Mexico and Mexico with offices in Santa Fe, Taos, Albuquerque, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, and Mexico City. Chris was honored as Sotheby's International Realty's Affiliate of the Year for 1994-1995 and also served on their Advisory Board for 15 years aiding the company's growth and development nationally and internationally. As its first-ever acquisition of an exclusive affiliate company worldwide, Sotheby's Holdings acquired Chris' Santa Fe firm in 1998. In 2015, Chris acquired Leading Estates of the World and became its CEO and Publisher. To date, Chris has pursued and completed nine professional disciplines within residential, commercial, international, and historic property representation and brokerage, including appraisal disciplines and practices, and has been a longstanding active member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), its state and local subsidiaries, as well as the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and its Recreational Development Council (RDC-Blue). A specialist in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico estate, ranch, and commercial properties, as well as historic haciendas and coastal estates in Mexico, and distinctive residential and resort properties in Hawai'i, western Europe, and elsewhere, Chris has represented and sold throughout his career numerous exclusive and extraordinary properties within The Estates Network of Leading Estates of the World and Sotheby's International Realty. Chris is a graduate of The Episcopal High School in Virginia and Duke University in North Carolina. He and Patti Webster have three children and two grandchildren and live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
