Mr. Brecher is a founding member of the Firm. He has been in practice for over thirty years, representing numerous lending institutions, mortgage companies, private individuals and business entities. Mr. Brecher is a specialist in the field of 1031 Tax Free Exchanges. He advises clients in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions, business development and financing, and corporate and business practices. Mr. Brecher's practice also includes corporate and probate law.
Mr. Brecher is Treasurer of 1031 Exchange Clearinghouse, Inc.,, a premier 1031 Tax Free Qualified Intermediary which assists in complex Reverse and Construction Exchanges as well as acting as a Qualified Intermediary. He is past special advisor to First American Exchange, LLP. He has lectured on tax free exchanges, title examination, foreclosures, short sales and other real estate related matters for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., Lorman Education Services, First American Title Insurance Company, T D Bank, Greater Salem Real Estate Brokers and the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA). In addition, he is an agent for First American Title Insurance Company, Fidelity Title Insurance Company, Old Republic Title Insurance Company and Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company.. He is the Editor of "Massachusetts Mortgage Foreclosures and Loan Workouts (MCLE)".
Mr. Brecher was named a Massachusetts "Super Lawyer" by Boston Magazine in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (1969) and Suffolk University Law School (1972). He is admitted to the Massachusetts and Federal Bars, and is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts.
Mr. Fox was a founding member of Stone, Fox & Ladd, formed in 1983, and then practiced as a sole practitioner until the formation of Fox & Foner, LLP, which merged with BWSB in August, 2003. He has over twenty-five years of experience in real estate and estate planning. He has represented mortgage lenders in thousands of real estate closings. For many years, he has represented Massachusetts Credit Unions as both general counsel and as Real Estate counsel and has held seminars for credit union members on estate planning and home buying. Mr. Fox is a title insurance agent for First American, Fidelity, Lawyers. Commonwealth and Old Republic Title Insurance Companies.
Josh Silverstein joined Brecher, Wyner, Simons, Fox & Bolan, P.C. as an estate planning associate in May 2023. His practice is focused on advising individual clients on the tax-efficient transfer of wealth to their children and further descendants. Mr. Silverstein also has extensive experience representing clients before the IRS in connection with tax controversy matters.
Prior to joining BWSFB, Mr. Silverstein worked for two years as an associate in the Tax department of a regional 100 + lawyer firm, where his practice had a similar focus. Mr. Silverstein began his legal career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their National Tax Office in Washington, D.C. While there, he focused on tax controversies, entity elections, and compliance with foreign bank account reporting rules.
Mr. Silverstein received his B.A. from Tufts University and his J.D. from Boston College Law School. He is an active member in good standing of the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Bars.

Ms. Simons is a founding member of BWSFB and handles all Real Estate matters involving residential and commercial real estate, condominium creations and conversions, limited liability companies, and development work. She represents numerous lending institutions and mortgage companies as well as developers and individual purchasers and sellers of real estate. She has experience in all aspects of real estate and title issues. Ms. Simons is a title insurance agent of several major title insurance companies in Massachusetts.
Prior to forming BWSF&B, Ms. Simons was an associate in the real estate department of Miller, Pierce & Miller. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (1989) and Massachusetts School of Law (1995). Ms. Simons is admitted to the Massachusetts and Federal Bars.
Ms. Simons is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and The Real Estate Bar Association (REBA). She currently serves REBA's Board of Directors and Executive Committee, she has been a member for over ten years and has been a member of REBA's Executive Committee for the past eight (8) years. Ms. Simons was named President of 2014, in addition to that role she has and is currently serving as Co-Chair of the Association's Residential Conveyancing Committee. She led the launch of the Association's now-established county regional affiliates across the Commonwealth. Also, in 2014, Ms. Simons also founder the very popular first Networking group for REBA, known as the Women's Networking Group of REBA. Ms. Simon speaks frequently on the evolution of the Massachusetts Conveyancing practice ad she has conducted numerous seminars and has lectured for REBA, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and several local Bar Associations throughout the Commonwealth.
Ms. Simons was named one of the Top 50 Women of Law in 2017 by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. She was also honored as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine for ten consecutive years 2004-2014 and was named a Top Women Lawyer in Massachusetts in Boston Magazines April 2014 Issue.
Ms. Holden joined Brecher, Wyner, Simons, Fox & Bolan in 2004 as an associate in the Litigation Department and became a Partner in 2012. She represents lawyers and law firms in Board of Bar Overseers and malpractice matters, partnership breakups, departures and law firm litigation. She provides counsel to local, national and transnational lawyers and law firms on risk management, law firm audits, malpractice prevention, and professional responsibility, practice and ethics matters. She also represents physicians and other professionals in disciplinary matters and professional and non-professional clients in civil litigation matters. Ms. Holden is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. She is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, Cum Laude (2003), and Northeastern University, Summa Cum Laude (B.S. in Criminal Justice) (2000).
