Deirdre Pickerell

Deirdre has 20+ years of experience as a career development specialist, educator, manager, and human resource professional. She has made significant differences within the field of career development - locally, nationally, and internationally - through innovative program design, leading-edge education for career practitioners, inspiring facilitation and career coaching, and selfless leadership and mentoring throughout the sector. Deirdre's day to day work includes teaching, program development, facilitating seminars and workshops, and assessing/coaching private clients. In each of these areas, Deirdre "pushes the envelope" in the field - seeing needs, championing change, measuring outcomes, evaluating progress, and tirelessly working to ensure that her clients' and colleagues expectations are constantly exceeded. Deirdre has completed her PhD in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University where her research interest is the impact of career management on employee engagement. She is the 2014 recipient of the Stu Conger Award for Leadership in Career Development and Career Counselling and, in 2006, was honoured with anAward of Excellence; presented by the BC Human Resources Management Association.

Don MacInnis

Coaching individuals for success, within organizations' and for themselves is the essence of how Don contributes within the public and private sector. His coaching practice emerged as it became evident that's where his passion and skill are best fulfilled. One of Don's primary areas of interest is personal advocacy and accountability in the midst of rapid change. Based on formal training and his own experience, he coaches leaders and employees to plan for and take charge of those areas where they do have influence and control, in order to envision and create the kind of workplace they want to thrive in. He has contributed to successful individual, team and organization change efforts within numerous organizations. Don worked in the energy sector for 16 years as a leader of Training & Development and Organization Development. He was responsible for coaching individuals, teams and organizations to function more effectively during difficult financial times. As the Senior Advisor,Organization Development, he coached leaders and employees through the process of downsizing and rebuilding cultures as major rationalization occurred in the oil patch. He has conceptualized and facilitated change at all levels in organizations, from the boardroom to the shop floor and has coached executive, technical/professional, administrative, and unionized employees. Don has been active as a management consultant for 20 years, operating his business on a part time basis until 1998. Don has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Education from the University of Calgary and a Masters degree in Organization Development from the University of Pepperdine.

Dr. Roberta Neault is President of B.C.-based Life Strategies Ltd., and an award-winning career management specialist with over three decades of relevant experience in counselling, coaching, consulting, training, curriculum design, research, and writing. She is the recipient of the BC Career Development Association's Mentor of the Year Award, the National Employment Counseling Association's Professional Development Award, the Canadian Career Development Foundation's prestigious Stu Conger Award for Leadership in Career Counselling and Career Development in Canada, the Gold Medal, and the Diamond Pin for Leadership in Career Development. Roberta currently serves on the executive of the Career Development Chapter of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and recently completed her term as editor of the Journal of Employment Counseling.
