Angela Martin

Dr. Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She is a graduate from The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio where she obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy. In 2019, Dr. Martin received the O. Elizabeth Whitehead Award for Excellence in Community Service for her work with the Special Olympics, South Texas Regional Adaptive and Paralympic Sports. In addition, she has completed several medical missions to Mexico. Dr. Martin's favorite part of working with her patients is having the opportunity to develop therapeutic relationships to help them get back to activities that are most important to them. Dr. Martin has clinical experience managing Orthopedic and Neurological conditions and is passionate about empowering those with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis to use exercise to manage their bone health. Some additional certifications she has earned include Dry Needling (Cert-DN), PWR! (Parkinson's Wellness Recovery), and Neuibe practitioner. Outside of Physical Therapy, Dr.Martin enjoys tending to her plants, gardening, and being outside with her dog, Clyde. Dr. Martin works at our Northeast location at 2130 NE Loop 410. Her responsibilities include managing the facility, treating patients, and marketing for Liberty Rehabilitation Specialist, Inc.

Cheryl L. Villaret

Cheryl Villaret received her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, Ca in 1989. For the last 35 years, Mrs. Villaret has treated adult patients in a variety of clinical areas, including acute care, neuro rehab, orthopedics, home health and geriatrics. In 2011, her career focus took a different turn when she completed the 135 hour Klose training course of study to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. In the last 13 years, she has developed cancer-related lymphedema programs at 3 different facilities. In 2020, she became credentialed by the Lymphology Association of North America signifying her commitment to provide the highest level of expertise and competency to her patients and their medical providers as a LANA-Certified Lymphedema Therapist. Mrs. Villaret offers The Strength After Breast Cancer program for lymphedema prevention and improved function to individuals as well as group classes. She provides care prior to, during and after treatment to breast cancer and oncology patients. She practices an evidence based, patient centered approach to treatment with strong emphasis on patient education and self-care. She enjoys sharing her patient's pleasure in the progress they make with her therapy and seeing them self-managing their chronic lymphedema condition.

Dr. Erica Parazo

Dr. Erica Parazo graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2013 with a B.S. in Kinesiology and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL in 2018. She is passionate about treating older adults and empowering patients through movement to live active, engaging lives. She received her Board Certification in Geriatrics in 2021 and Neurology in 2022. Board Certified Clinical Specialists are therapist with specialized and advanced clinical proficiency. Dr. Parazo is also an active leader in the American Physical Therapy Association and Texas Physical Therapy Association.

Mary Lou Lugo

Dr. Mary Lou Lugo received her degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center- San Antonio in 1994 and has acquired a vast array of experiences over the year. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She obtained an Orthopedic Specialist Certification in May of 2006. San Antonio has only a select number of other Fellows. In addition, she obtained her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy a Regis University in Denver, CO. Her interest is in health and preventative wellness and utilizes her skills as a physical therapist and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to rehabilitate her patients. She recently completed Cross Fit Level 1 trainer course. Mary Lou utilizes a variety of treatment methods including dry needling, laser therapy, cupping, taping, and the neubie to facilitate healing with her patients. She has recently has become certified in dry needling.

Melissa Romero

Melissa Romero is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, a graduate from St. Philip's PTA program here in San Antonio. Melissa has also received her bachelors degree in Biology from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where she also played collegiate softball. Melissa enjoys improving her knowledge about orthopedics and manual techniques that she can include in her treatments. She also enjoys teaching senior and adult fitness classes at our Southside location to promote community health. Melissa aspires to apply for the DPT Bridge program and soon become a DPT in the future.

Melissa Stack

Mrs. Stack initially studied at West Texas State University (West Texas A&M) in Canyon, TX in pre-P.T. and minored in psychology before receiving her degree in physical therapy from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1983. She has worked in various settings including a hospital in Amarillo, TX, nursing homes, individual's homes, and for the past several years, in outpatient orthopedic settings. Following the opening of her private practice in 1990, she began specializing in the treatment of TMJ dysfunction. She taught physical therapy and dental students at UTHSCSA for years regarding the evaluation and treatment of TMD, and has lectured extensively on this subject. Although she specializes in TMD, she also enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and some neurological conditions. She has held different offices at the local and state levels, and has been active in the TPTA. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, scrapbooking, fishing and spending time outdoors. Mrs. Stack enjoys treating and spending time with her patients, and loves what she is able to share with them on their journey to recovery. She finds it always amazing to see the progress her patients make as they work so hard to recover, and to see the joy and relief when they attain their goals and return to levels of function that they may have never dreamed they could attain.

Mrs Sabrina J. Beltran

Mrs Sabrina J. Beltran is a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist. She began her journey in rehabilitation as a physical therapy technician in her hometown of Del Rio, TX. The daughter of two migrant workers, she proudly graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2020 with a Master of Occupational Therapy and from the University of Texas, San Antonio in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After seeing compassionate and skilled therapists work with her brother during a medically difficult time, she decided to pursue a career in OT, where she could share the same compassion and care with others. Today she is proud to carry the spirit of her brother to serve patients in need, especially the Hispanic community. She has experience working in the acute care and in-patient rehabilitation settings, as well as the out-patient hand therapy clinic. She is currently working to obtain credentials as a Certified Hand Therapist and enjoys learning from her patients as much as she does teaching them about hands. When she is not working you can find Sabrina hiking in the many parks of San Antonio or finding some good vegan food nearby!
