Chris Nelson

Chris has a Bachelor of Science (Geology) and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Manitoba. In July 2009, Chris returned to Winnipeg to join Lombard North Group as Senior Landscape Architect and Manager of Design. He is currently involved in several projects including the design of Waterford Green, a new mixed-use residential subdivision in northwest Winnipeg; the design and construction supervision of new parklands in Van Hull Estates in South Winnipeg; and the landscape architecture and site design of several residential projects in the Capital Region. He also participated in the design and planning of a new community in Kemerovo, Russia, the design and construction of new athletic fields for the City of Winnipeg and Seven Oaks School Division, the landscape design and contract administration of all landscape architecture for Waterford Green, the planning and design of a Community Campus Plan for the Town of Niverville, several new housing and park design projects, and new fitness trails for the City of Winnipeg. Prior to joining Lombard North Group, Chris spent the majority of his professional career employed at Thomas McBroom Associates Ltd. in Toronto, Ontario. As project architect at the firm, he was involved in the design and construction of over 50 completed new golf course projects throughout Canada, Scandinavia, and the Caribbean, with 12 of these courses ranked in the top 100 golf courses in Canada. Many of these projects have received awards from major golf course industry publications.

David Palubeski

David Palubeski was the Principal Partner and President of Lombard North Group (1984) Ltd. David's breadth of professional practice included co-ordination of urban design initiatives, regional and urban community development strategies, management of environmental and socio-economic impact assessments for major development projects, project design, feasibility assessment and implementation/management of public and private sector development projects, including industrial, commercial shopping centre and mixed-use residential developments, preparation of urban designs for downtown redevelopment, large format commercial centers and regional parks, land use zoning strategies, site assessment, and public consultation.

Jon Powell

Jon has a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) from Queen's University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from The George Washington University. In January 2017, Jon returned to Winnipeg to join Lombard North Group as Chief Administrative Officer. He is currently involved in the project management and delivery of several development projects including a master planned community in the RM of West St. Paul, Tourond Creek and Waterford Green with a focus on finance, contract administration, marketing and engineering. Prior to joining Lombard North Group, Jon owned his own management consulting practice focused on business strategy, business process improvement and IT development for several client's in Washington DC, USA and Vancouver, BC. Before that, Jon was based in London, UK and worked for URS Corporation (now AECOM) as a portfolio manager project managing Phase I/II/III environmental assessments and remediation projects throughout UK. Prior to moving to the UK, Jon worked for Franz Environmental Inc. (now Arcadis) as an environmental scientist conducting environmental assessments and remediation work.

Tracy Hunter

Tracy joined Lombard North Group in 2014. She is the leader of central administrative support for our organization and is the first point of contact. Prior to working with us, Tracy has been in the medical field as a patient intake coordinator, as well as an office manager at a physiotherapy clinic. She has accumulated over 20 years of customer service experience; leading to her being a friendly, proficient and valuable member of our team. Tracy is not only responsible for supporting the needs of our clients, but also for facilitating the internal needs of our office. She manages our financial accounting, payroll, and providing us with human resource support and secretarial responsibilities. Multitasking is an everyday component of her job. Tracy brings a cherished personality to our office and makes the workplace a more inviting place. She is also a photographer and is responsible for our staff profile pictures.
