When we bring something into awareness, we are making good use of the ego. Metaphorically, we are shining a light into a dark room, everything in the path of that light becomes illuminated, therefore it becomes visible... The danger of orienting solely to the light, is the natural rejections, suppression, and denial of discomfort. What we repress only gains power in darkness, it is essential we become comfortable navigating the unknown and facing discomfort. We have a tendency to lael something evil if we do not understand it, if it is too big for the mind to fathom or the heart to hold, we reject it, unknowingly rejecting aspects of self that then becomes mirrored outwardly in the world around us... I am one who thrives in the dark, I find comfort in dim cool spaces, rejuvenate my senses, release overwhelm from my body, and regulate my nervous system in stillness. My life lessons, traumas, and tragedies have taught me how to navigate empty spaces void of meaning…. finding a way to..
