Claire E. Hurst

Claire E. Hurst obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was on the Dean's Honor List. She received the Paul Miller Scholarship Award as well as the Ahmanson Foundation Scholarship Award. Attorney Hurst externed for the Honorable Richard Fruin for the Los Angeles Superior Court during her time at Loyola. Attorney Hurst also externed as in-house counsel for a large Santa Monica based corporation and for various non-profits in the Southern California area. Attorney Hurst obtained her undergraduate degree in English from the University of California, Irvine. She also received her Master of Legal and Forensic Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, where she broadened her knowledge of the connection between psychology and legal issues and was first in her graduating class. Attorney Hurst practiced in Los Angeles before moving to the Inland Empire to practice family law. She is admitted to practice in every California state court. She is a member of both the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the Riverside County Bar Association. Attorney Hurst has worked exclusively on cases involving family law and related issues such as divorce, nonmarital relationships and paternity, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, division of assets, and domestic violence restraining orders since joining The Law Office of Michael R. Young, APC. She has a passion for zealous advocacy for her clients and understands how to align her clients' expectations and goals with the law and legal system.

Janet S. Brandon

Attorney Brandon is a practicing attorney whose primary focus is cases involving divorce, paternity, child custody, and support. She has been practicing for 35 plus years and is licensed in the State of California as well as admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. She grew up in the Midwest and ultimately graduated from Citrus Belt Law School in Riverside. She is a member of the San Bernardino County Bar Association and previously served as a law school professor for almost 11 years. She currently is qualified as a Judge Pro Tem at the local branch of the Superior Court. Mrs. Brandon is trained as a mediator and as a collaborative dissolution attorney and is often appointed to represent minor children and active members of the military pursuant to the Soldier and Sailor Relief Act. Her experience provides a broad spectrum of beneficial ideas and solutions to problems facing individuals who may be experiencing life altering issues.
