During this time, she has been responsible for the planning and execution of meetings in the United States and abroad as well as web-based virtual conferences. Alex's passion for details and talent for incorporating unique touches help make MCPI's events distinctive, enjoyable and memorable.

Alyx Pomeroy

  • Senior Meeting Planner
Alyx joined the MCPI team in the summer of 2018 as a Meeting Planner. Alyx's several years of experience in the hospitality industry provide MCPI with an insider knowledge of venues, food and beverage, sales and conference services, and contract negotiations that has proven invaluable to all aspects of our planning process. In addition to her hospitality background, Alyx contributes a pro-active attitude and a great eye for detail.

Carrie Jacobowitz

Carrie, Director of Meeting Services, joined MCPI in 2003 and has been an integral part of MCPI's success. Carrie's truly extraordinary people skills and follow through make her an indispensable asset when it comes to cultivating relationships with corporate sponsors and overseeing registration services. Carrie's organizational skills, love of people and enthusiasm for planning have all contributed to her successful 20-year career at MCPI.

Karen Baranick - President

Karen is President of MCPI, a woman-owned business she founded in 1996 after a 17-year career in medical administration and patient care. Thanks to her extensive experience in the medical field, she brings insights that prove key to manifesting successful, unique, stress-free events for her clients. Her finesse, almost uncanny organizational skills and dedication to excellence have enabled her and her team to successfully execute medical conferences worldwide.

Maili Lampe

Maili joined the MCPI team in the summer of 2022 as an Assistant Meeting Planner. Her experience in non-profit engagement, education, and program management has assisted her transition into larger scale event planning. Maili is a solution-oriented individual who brings to the table her experience and enthusiasm for working in the events industry. She is passionate about creating memorable events that leave a lasting impression on all of those who attend.
