Alexa Calas

Alexa Calas PA-C has a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University and a Master Science in Physician Assistant from Wayne State University. She is certified by the National Comission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Ms. Calas joined Michigan Neurology Associates in 2022.

Bradley Jones

Bradley Jones, PA-C has a Bachelor of Science degree in general studies with a minor in exercise physiology from Oakland University and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Wayne State University. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Mr. Jones joined Michigan Neurology Associates in 2011.

Claire Allen

Claire Allen, PA-C has a Honors Program Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Adrian College and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from The University of Pittsburgh. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Claire joined Michigan Neurology Associates in 2023. She has a special interest in neuropsychiatry.

Dr. Christine D. Liff

Christine D. Liff, PhD, is a licensed clinical Neuropsychologist with specialty training in neuropsychology and forensic psychology at Michigan Neurology Associates & PC, with offices throughout the Metro Detroit area in Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores, Utica, and Westland, Michigan. Dr. Liff completed practicum training at several sites, including the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Fort Worth, Texas, her neuropsychology internship at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, and her Ph.D. at The University of North Texas. Her post-internship training was completed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Terrell State Hospital, and her post-doctoral/residency training at Pate Rehabilitation Endeavors in Dallas and the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. She is experienced in the assessment of neurologic disorders (e.g., dementia, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis), ADHD and learning disabilities, pre- and post-surgical interventions (e.g., transplantation, shunt placement), and pre-surgical assessment of pain patients. Dr. Liff's main research interests include the validity of neuropsychological test instruments, neuropsychological malingering, and assessment of multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease. She serves on a number of professional committees including the program committee for the Michigan Psychological Association, belongs to several professional organizations, and is managing editor and co-author of the Neuropsychology Study Guide and Board Review textbook. She also supervises master- and doctoral-level practicum students from area universities, including the neuropsychology department at The University of Windsor. Dr. Liff has been with Michigan Neurology Associates and Pain Consultants since March 2006. She has a deep knowledge of analyzing neurological issues such as dementia, traumatic brain injury, and multiple sclerosis, as well as ADHD and learning disabilities. Additionally, she is well-versed in pre- and post-surgery treatments like transplantation and shunt placement, as well as assessing pain patients prior to an operation. Dr. Liff is dedicated to exploring the accuracy of neuropsychological test methods, deceiving behavior on the part of patients, and the diagnosis of MS and Alzheimer's. She works on several boards, such as the program committee of the Michigan Psychological Association, and is involved in different professional organizations. Additionally, she is an editor and co-author of the Neuropsychology Study Guide and Board Review textbook. Furthermore, she oversees master and doctoral students from universities near her, including the University of Windsor's neuropsychology department. Since 2006, she has been a part of Michigan Neurology Associates and Pain Consultants.

Dr. Ross Halpern

Dr. Ross Halpern is a clinical psychologist with special expertise in pain psychology. He is experienced in the treatment of stroke, closed head injuries, and chronic pain. Dr. Halpern earned his Ph.D. at the University of Detroit and completed internships at Detroit Psychiatric Institute, Windsor Western Hospital, and Oakland University. He teaches at the University of Michigan Department of Anesthesiology Chronic Pain Psychology.

G. Matthew Dillon

G. Matthew Dillon, MD, is a board-certified neurologist at Michigan Neurology Associates & PC, with offices serving the Metro Detroit area in Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores, Utica, and Westland, Michigan. In addition to specializing in general neurology, Dr. Dillon has a particular interest in vascular neurology and frequently treats patients for stroke and performs transcranial and carotid Therapeutic Ultrasound. Patients appreciate his keen ability to explain their treatments and conditions thoroughly so they can best care for themselves outside the office. Dr. Dillon completed his medical education in 2011 at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Florida and St. Maarten. After graduating with his medical degree, he moved to Buffalo, New York, for an internship in internal medicine at the University of Buffalo. After his internship, he returned to South Florida for a residency in neurology and fellowship in vascular neurology at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami. In addition to administering cutting-edge treatments and improving his patients' quality of life, Dr. Dillon has published extensive research about multiple sclerosis (MS). Using his expertise acquired through years of education and research, he treats patients with MS and many other neurologic conditions at Michigan Neurology Associates & PC.

Mark McIntee

Mark McIntee is a board certified Physician Assistant with 13 years' experience in emergency medicine. He earned his Bachelor's in science in Psychology from Wayne State University, and went on to complete his Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2009. He has mentored and precepted PA and NP students from universities across the United States. For the past 13 years he has worked in a major trauma/stroke center in south east Michigan he has had a special intreats in the evaluation of neurologic emergencies, and helping patients and families live with their Neurologic diagnosis. Mr. McIntee joined Michigan Neurology Associates in 2021.

Michelle Sierant

Michelle Sierant, PA-C has a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and a Master of Medical Science from Tufts University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Ms. Sierant joined Michigan Neurology Associates in 2020.

Mrs. Sarah Vella

Mrs. Vella has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy and earned a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Mrs. Vella joined MNA in 2019.

Stephanie Anselmi

Stephanie Anselmi PA-C has a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience degree from Central Michigan University and completed her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Stephanie originally joined Michigan Neurology Associates in 2012. She has a special interest in hospital Neurology care.

Syed Abbas Moosavi

Syed Abbas Moosavi, MD, is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician at Michigan Neurology Associates & PC, with offices serving the Metro Detroit area in Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores, Utica, and Westland, Michigan. Dr. Moosavi specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation and the treatment of spinal and musculoskeletal disorders, foot and ankle pain, and sports injuries. Dr. Moosavi attended Ross University School of Medicine for his medical education. After graduating with his medical degree, he completed his post-internship training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in New York City, serving a chief resident, before moving to Michigan to practice medicine. Today, Dr. Moosavi is affiliated with Henry Ford Hospital and St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and practices at Michigan Neurology Associates & PC. In his decade of experience, Dr. Moosavi has rehabilitated patients with nerve damage and chronic pain. He has also assisted in rehabilitating patients after major surgeries, as well as patients who have prosthetics. He uses the latest and most advanced methods to create personalized treatment plans with the goal of allowing every patient to live life comfortably. He has been utilizing minimally invasive techniques to help his patients as well as platelet rich plasma and bone marrow concentrate injections to provide a comprehensive approach for his patients.

Thomas Giancarlo

Thomas Giancarlo, DO, is a dual board-certified neurologist at Michigan Neurology Associates & PC, with offices serving the Metro Detroit area in Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores, Utica, and Westland, Michigan. He has a passion for allowing each patient to live a healthy and comfortable life with personalized treatment. His specialties include sleep disorders, pain management, stroke, and nerve diseases like epilepsy. Dr. Giancarlo began his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He stayed in Michigan to complete an internship at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills and a residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Since completing his education, Dr. Giancarlo's expertise in the field of neurology has stuck out, earning him multiple prestigious titles and awards. He currently serves as the chief of neurology at Henry Ford Medical Center in Warren, Michigan, and teaches future doctors as a clinical assistant professor at three medical schools in the region. In 2004, he was named one of Metro Detroit's top neurologists in Hour Detroit magazine. At Michigan Neurology Associates & PC, Dr. Giancarlo regularly observes patients' functioning with neuroimaging technologies like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and helps patients manage their pain with a variety of treatment methods. He speaks both English and Italian fluently.
