Emmanuel Y. Mendoza - CEO

Mr. Mendoza is the Managing Partner and heads the Audit and Business Consulting of M&Q. Mr. Mendoza started his career and spent 10 years with the Financial Services Group of the leading accounting firm in the Philippines, SyCip, Gorres, Velayo & Co (SGV & Co.). He has extensive experience in auditing, as well as in due diligence review for mergers and acquisitions, bond offerings initial public offerings and investment valuation. Aside from his exposure in public practice, he was also directly involved in banking operations, as First Vice President and Financial Controller of Global Business Bank (GLOBALBANK), an affiliate of Metrobank and the Tokai Bank of Japan. Mr. Mendoza also served as GLOBALBANK's Deputy Compliance Officer and Liaison officer with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and was a member of the Bank's Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and the Operations and Compliance Committee. He played a strategic role in the three-way merger and acquisition between GLOBALBANK, Philippine Banking Corporation and Asianbank Corporation, particularly in the areas of regulatory requirements, tax planning, computer system integration, and in policies and procedures integration. As controller, he also oversees the Bank's Risk Management Unit and was involved in the preparation of its risk management manual. He is an independent director of a publicly listed universal bank since 2015 and is the bank's Audit Committee chairman. He is also a member of the bank's IT Steering Committee and headed the evaluation team that selected Bank's the core banking system. Mr. Mendoza is a graduate of Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) in Accountancy from the University of the Philippines and Master in Management from the Asian Institute of Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP). He is a member of the Committee on Auditing Standards and Practices of ACPAPP. He is also a member of the Bank Institute of the Philippines.

Joven M. Benitez

Joven works closely with the partner, co-directors, managers, and supervisors. The main area of his responsibility is the administration and infrastructure of the team. His specific duties include the management of the team, and all aspects of human resources including workflow management. As director, he ensures the general smooth running of the organisation. He also assesses whether entities perform planning, accounting, custodial, and control activities in compliance with management instructions, applicable procedures, and in a manner consistent with both organisational objectives and high ethical standards. Joven is working with the management team. His position also contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices. His notable work experience was being the project head in agreed-upon procedures wherein he performed 100% nationwide inventory count of goods and fixed assets of a major amusement center and international cigarette manufacturing company. His involvement covered preparation of analytical reports, documentation of discrepancies encountered during the count, and the recommendation on the goods and fixed assets management that helps to improve proper accounting and safeguarding of goods and fixed assets as well as the disposition on the obsolete and idle fixed assets. Joven is a holder of Masters of Business in Business Management from St. Scholastica's College - Manila and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Divine Word College of Legazpi. He is an active supporter of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the UN Refugee Agency.

Pam started her career and spent seven years with Mendoza Querido & Co. She performed audit and tax services for various companies in the field of manufacturing, manning agency, merchandising, stock brokerage firms, banking, online gaming, trusts, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, power generation, property management, and BPO. After her stint in the public practice, she held various tax positions in the private industry. Before re-joining Mendoza Querido & Co., she was the Tax Head - OIC of Global Business Power Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGen). As Tax Head, she managed the tax compliance and planning function and provides taxation services across the business. She spearheaded various tax initiatives aimed at mitigating tax risks of the company. Pam is a graduate of University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a member of Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).

Peter Butalid

Peter started his career with the Financial Services Group of the leading accounting firm in the Philippines, SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.). He has extensive experiences in auditing financial institutions and other sectors, as well as in financial due diligence review for mergers and acquisitions, local and international securities offerings, and initial public offerings. After spending 9 years at SGV & Co., he moved to Indonesia to join Arthur Andersen Indonesia (AA Indonesia), which eventually became Ernst & Young Indonesia (EY Indonesia) after the merger, to be a technical advisor. Specifically, he advised audit teams on various accounting and auditing issues. At the same time, he also acted as partner in-charge of some big audit engagements of clients in different industries such as in real estate, manufacturing, plantation, mining, service concession, retail and service industries. He spent a total of 10 years with AA Indonesia and EY Indonesia. In 2012, he moved to Moore Stephens Indonesia (now Moore Indonesia) as a technical advisor of the auditing firm of Moore Indonesia, Mirawati Sensi Idris (MSI), and as part of the PT Moore Stephens Consulting, the consulting firm of Moore Indonesia. Under MSI, his roles and exposures were similar with AA Indonesia and EY Indonesia. Under the consulting service, he was involved in the financial due diligence for acquisitions and mergers, taxation, restructuring and other deals. He also headed the International Securities team for international offerings specifically under Reg S and 144A rule. Peter was also appointed to be the regional Quality Control Reviewer for Asia Pacific member firms of Moore Global Network Limited (formerly Moore Stephens International Limited). Asia Pacific countries covered Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Philippines, Thailand, Nepal, Taiwan and South Korea. He also assisted in the technical trainings of Asia Pacific. In December 2022, Peter returns to the Philippines and joined Mendoza Querido & Co. Peter obtained his bachelor's degree in accountancy from the Philippine School of Business Administration in Manila, Philippines.
