Bryana Wipff

Bryana Wipff is a Full Sail University graduate with a degree in Show Production & Touring. In high school, she signed up for an AV production class that led her to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. During her time at Full Sail, she discovered newfound interest in Lighting and Visual Media. She was invited to join the Murphy Lighting team shortly after graduating in July of 2022.

Chris Murphy - President

Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." - Philippians 2:3 Chris earned a BS in Radio and Television and a minor in Journalism from San Diego State University. After working in the publishing industry, he moved to Central Florida in 1988 to try the family business for "one year". Running sales for Central and South Florida, Chris specified, sold and managed many projects, including major convention centers, hotel ballrooms, themed rides and attractions, theaters, television studios, schools and houses of worship. Chris and his wife, Kristina, purchased the company in 2003 and moved it to a brand new, larger, purpose-built facility in 2008. Chris is a member of IESNA, TEA and PLASA and has won several awards, including a TEA award for the Revenge of the Mummy attraction at Universal Orlando. Chris and Kristi continue to grow Murphy Lighting while maintaining its exceptional service standard. The MLS team is truly considered family by the Murphy's. Chris is active with several philanthropies and outreach groups, including Younglife of Seminole County, Camp Boggy Creek and Give Kids the World. He plays guitar and bagpipes and enjoys reading; boating; vintage cars, motorcycles and travel trailers; and enjoying time with Kristi, their two children and many friends.

Cindy Staten

Cindy joined the Murphy Lighting Systems team in March 2018 as Controller. She brings more than 35 years' experience in construction accounting with an emphasis on financial statement preparation, forecasting, auditing, and tax planning. Her expertise is in project cash flow management, and she has been an integral part of the company's most recent growth and success. Her most outstanding job qualities are her diligence in resolving financial matters, her positive attitude, and her trustworthiness. Cindy is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is heavily involved in volunteer activities at her church and other non-profit organizations. She is currently enrolled in Light University seeking to become a credentialed Mental Health Coach and Professional Life Coach in her spare time. Cindy makes it a priority to have a compassionate heart toward others and loves God. Family is a priority for Cindy and her husband of 43 years. She has been blessed with two sons and now, their families.

Doug Magee

Gene Murphy

Greg Delva

Greg joined our team in March 2022. Having graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rollin's College, he then went into Campus Ministry for two years before joining our team. With a high aptitude for problem-solving, Greg came in and made himself at home renovating our databases and working closely with our technicians and project managers to make sure our projects run as smoothly as possible. When not at work, you can find him at the gym lifting the heaviest weights or at church serving in the Worship Arts department as a keyboardist!

Jesse Hanson

Karlean Weber

Karlean has been a proud member of the Murphy family since 2015. Karlean currently serves as the Director of Purchasing and Administration. She has traveled the world in many roles including production manager, tour manager, stage manager and performer, for a variety of live shows. She spent 12 years living in Paris, France and is fluent in French. Karlean has an Associate Degree in Recording Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Live Show Production, both from Full Sail University. Her favorite part of the job is problem-solving and building relationships with our clients and vendors.

Kristi Murphy - VP

Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." - Philippians 2:3 After attending the University of Florida, Kristi had a successful career as a counter agent and training manager in the rental car industry. She left to be a full-time mom to the two Murphy kids. Kristi has been handling human resources and insurance for MLS for many years. During the past few years, as the children entered high school and college and the company has grown substantially, Kristi has increased her time spent at Murphy Lighting and her influence. She now also handles interviews and hiring and planning events for the employees and our customers. Kristi enjoys spending time with family and friends, supporting several philanthropies and is active in her church.

Lauren Wiley

"When I used to read fairy tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one!" Alice in Wonderland Lauren Wiley began to fall in love with the stage at the young age of 3. She was on stage for many dance recitals and plays. At the start of her high school career, she took a stagecraft class and found her purpose in life. She worked her first show as a lighting engineer at 14. By her senior year, she was the Control Booth manager for her high school and they were hiring her to work shows. She is now currently 20 years old and has graduated from Full Sail University in Show Production and started working for Murphy Lighting Systems as a Lighting Technician in May of 2023.

Nikki Rock

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." - Albus Dumbledore Nikki joined Murphy family in 2013, assisting with reception and administration. She was promoted to Service Coordinator, handled shipping and receiving and helped with accounting and sales. She left in 2015 to start her family, but she has continued to return to MLS to help when needed. In 2018 she officially returned and accepted a position as Assistant Project Manager, and was promoted again to Project Manager in 2020. Nikki loves working for Murphy Lighting calling it "an amazing company to work for." She especially loves the company BBQ's and the time we destroyed a squeaky printer with a sledge hammer and a 2-story drop from the forklift. Nikki was born in Southern California and moved to Florida in 1997. She and her family live in a rural neighborhood where they enjoy cruisin' around on their golfcart, going to the park, boating and lake days, camping, and just appreciating the great outdoors. She has 3 children Rylan, Nolan, and Rennix, with her husband Matt.

Paul Hecker-Velasco

" - Martin Luther King, Jr. Paul is a member the Murphy Lighting Systems Accounting and Sales teams. He has been with Murphy Lighting since 2017. He has a Bachelor of Science and Technology in Show Production from Full Sail University. He has also worked as an AV tech, Lighting Assistant and Freelance Stagehand for other companies. There are a lot of things Paul loves about working at Murphy, including working with a team of like-minded individuals who value and appreciate the entertainment business and learning about new lighting products.

Randy Watson

Randy has been a part of the Murphy team since January 2010. He is a Project Manager and Systems Designer. Randy has degrees from University of Cincinnati- College of Conservatory of Music Theater Design and Production and Full Sail University - including a masters in Entertainment Business. He was also a Lighting Technician at Cincinnati Landmark Productions. His favorite part of the job is traveling all over to work with world-class clients, such as Universal (multiple parks) and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Randy was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio and made his home in Orlando after graduation from Full Sail University. He enjoys experiencing all the places his jobs take him and sharing those adventures with his coworkers.

Sean Bartley

The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. -Nelson Mandela Sean has been a member of the Murphy Lighting team since March of 2019. He was born in New Jersey, but has called Orlando his home for most of his life. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar, watching the latest Netflix shows, and going to the theme parks with his wife. Sean is excited to be a part of the Murphy team and is looking forward to growing and learning every day.

Vinchenzo Locascio

Wesley Jordan

Wesley, commonly known as Wes, has been a technician for Murphy Lighting since 2018. He hit the ground running, travelling to Japan, Brazil, Cadiz, UK and Europe to assist with installation of several large projects. The travel is his favorite part of the job and all the interesting places MLS works. Wes has gained a lot of experience behind the scenes working on many of the rides and attractions at Universal Orlando. Wes has a sister that he loves to visit in England and his mom lives in Atlanta. In his downtime, he enjoys scuba diving and kayaking.

Zach Watson

With over a decade of Live entertainment experience, Zach brings a unique perspective to the integration industry. In a short time it became clear that Zach had a talent for creative and one of a kind solutions for our clients one of a kind custom designs. Jumping ahead to today, Zach provides rapid prototypes and fabrication to help our clients with the design process of each and every project. As the Fabrication Lead, Zach is dedicated to providing the highest quality custom designs, prototypes and fabricating a once in a life time experience for each of our clients.
