Dorothy "Dot" Twilley

Dorothy "Dot" Twilley, 95, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away at home on January 21, 2024. She was born May 28, 1928, in Memphis, TN, to the late George Sanford and Blanche Louise Ardern. Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 11am - 2pm with service to follow at 2pm. Interment will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2pm at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5886 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN, 38119. Dot was preceded in death by husband Curtis Wilkes of Memphis, TN and later husband Eldon Twilley of Murfreesboro, TN and her brother George Sanford Ardern Jr. of Cookeville, TN. She is survived by her daughters: Linda Lewis of Franklin, TN, Carol Pinkerton of Kansas City, MO, and Debbie Vick of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren: Christine, Kathy, Laura, Karen, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Hannah, Andrew, and Amy; and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dot was an experienced traveler, ruthless card shark, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her role as a matriarch and found joy in spending time with her family. Dot will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for family, and her zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Please keep Dot's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in her name.

Franklin "Frank" Delano Farley

Franklin "Frank" Delano Farley, 78, of Christiana, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mr. Farley was born in Harlan, KY to the late Dewey and Delilah Ray Farley . He was a member of New Vision Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army for 27 years and retired as a Sergeant First Class. After retiring from the military, he worked as a manager at Walmart for 22 years. He enjoyed playing Xbox, was an avid Kentucky Basketball fan and loved spending time with his family. Mr. Farley was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Naomi Duff Farley. He is survived by his daughter, Lucy (Larry) Pittenger of Murfreesboro; son, Joe Farley of Manchester; daughter, Patrisha (Will) Bullock of Christiana; daughter, Frankie Krisle of Murfreesboro; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm until the Memorial service at 2:00 pm at New Vision Baptist Church, Phillip Robinson officiating.

Henry Marion Igou

Henry Marion Igou age 90, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away peacefully on Christmas night, December 25, 2023. He was the only child to Waive and Henry Igou Sr, born on May 14, 1933, in Whitehaven, TN. He is survived by the love of his life, Anita West Igou, two children Janeen Igou (Don Fortenberry) and Michael Igou (Amie Waller), daughter-in-law Diana Igou, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He leaves many wonderful cousins, family and friends...he will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his dear son Robert Igou and his parents, Waive and Henry Igou Sr. Henry enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always ready to lend a hand to others whatever the need, from a tire change to assisting through a health crisis. He retired as a Lieutenant Commander from the U.S. Navy, retired from Rutherford County Farmers Cooperative, was a Master Mason, and active in his church. He loved all things "Nature"... birds, wildlife, trees, plants and fishing. He also enjoyed bee keeping and was an avid gardener. Henry's health declined in the last few years of his life. There are so many "Angel Family and Friends" who lifted him and Anita on this journey. We are immensely grateful to all, with special thanks to his loving "family" at the Tennessee State Veterans Home, sweet neighbors, the Mid-Cumberland Transit Service and gracious dear friends. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, with a 2:00 pm Memorial Service at Murfreesboro Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Samaritan's Purse in Henry's name.
