Dr. Kirsten Lysne

Dr. Lysne holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and has thirty years of professional experience helping individuals feel their best, reach their goals, and improve relationships. She founded Moxie Inc. in 1999, and since then has specialized in helping families manage the transitions of divorce and co-parenting. Because of her training and experience in the areas of leadership, management and professional development, she provides coaching in the workplace, and has particular expertise in helping those with successful careers and business lives apply their considerable skills to their relationships and family lives. Dr. Lysne took her undergraduate training at St. Olaf College where she participated in extensive international travel and education. She completed her doctoral studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies, one of the few doctoral psychology programs in the U.S. that specifically integrates multidisciplinary and multicultural perspectives. She completed her clinical internship at the Indian Health Board of Minneapolis, the largest American Indian behavioral health clinic in the country at that time. She later become the clinic's director and created for them a professional training and development program. Dr. Lysne has experience and expertise working within cross-cultural or multi-cultural contexts. Dr. Lysne completed EMDR training in 1995, and is both a Certified EMDR Therapist and an Approved EMDR Consultant. She has completed training in Civil, Family Law, and Elder Mediation and is listed on the Minnesota Supreme Court's Roster of Qualified Neutrals. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), is a former member of the ethics committee of MN Psychological Association (MPA), and is currently appointed by the Supreme Court of MN to the ADR Ethics Board.

Matthew Shore

Matthew Shore, MSW, LICSW, holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of California - Berkeley and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is also licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Matthew offers over twenty years of experience working with children and families facing challenging times. He has, over the course of his career, worked in numerous capacities and contexts - all of which helped him gain the experience and knowledge base required to sensitively and effectively help families in times of struggle and transition. Over the last 14 years, Matthew has specialized in working with families and individuals contending with custody and parenting time questions and concerns. He has a proven track record of success as a mediator, parenting consultant, child consultant, coach, and custody evaluator. He has also, over the years, successfully facilitated hundreds of Social Early Neutral Evaluations. Matthew is also one of only a handful of practitioners in the Twin Cities fully trained in Child Inclusive Mediation. Matthew is listed as a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Supreme Court's Roster of Qualified Neutrals. He is, additionally, a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, with whom he served two terms as a board member.

Michael Goldfarb

Michael Goldfarb, MSW, LICSW, holds a Masters of Social Work Degree from Augsburg College with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota where he majored in Social Work and Youth Studies. He is licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Michael has over twenty-five years of experience working with children and families in a variety of public and private settings where he has consistently supported families in developing child-centered solutions as families faced significant challenges. Prior to joining Moxie, Michael held a position with Hennepin County Child Protection Service and Family Court where he provided Early Neutral Evaluation, Mediation, and Custody and Parenting Time Evaluations.

Peggy Cottrell

Peggy Cottrell holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary's University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has extensive experience working with children and families, including six years in the school system working with children individually and in groups and providing in-home therapy to families. Peggy also spent three years working with adolescents, children, couples and families at Mount Olivet Counseling Center. She has completed training in Prepare/Enrich, a relationship assessment tool for use with couples. Peggy completed her internship at Hennepin County Family Court Services where she was trained in mediation and custody evaluation. For over 20 years, Peggy has specialized in working with families experiencing difficulty with divorce and custody issues. She is listed on Minnesota's Supreme Court Roster of Qualified Neutrals and has presented CLE programs to organizations including the Minnesota Family Law Institute and the Minnesota Chapter of AFCC. She currently provides the following services: Early Neutral Evaluation, Mediation, Parenting Consulting, Parent Coaching, Parent-Child Relationship Repair Services, and Therapy to children, teens, adults and families. Peggy is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
