John J. Parisi

John joined Mad River in 2005. He leads our accounting, audit, technology, and purchasing areas and, as our virtual stage manager, keeps the back office and infrastructure "humming." He was previously Regional Administrative Manager with Honeywell International's Utility Solutions business line. John is a graduate of Northeastern University and holds a Green Belt in Six Sigma Plus. He enjoys carpentry and hiking and volunteers doing set design and construction for several local theater companies. In his little spare time, he enjoys traveling and theater.

Joshua M. Stewart

Josh leads our Managed Opportunities Account business and has been instrumental in its founding, growth, and execution. He plays an integral role in Long Point's investment manager identification, selection, and ongoing due diligence process and also leads our Client Relations efforts. Josh lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts, with his wife and two daughters. He holds a Series 65 license and is a graduate of Northeastern University with a BS in finance (May 2000). He has worked in the investment business since 1997, also having positions with Mad River Management, LLC (January 1997 - April 2000) and Putnam Investments (August 2000 - June 2001).

Richard W. Silver - CEO, Chief Investment Officer, Founder

Rick is the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of Mad River Investors. He has raised, invested, and managed hundreds of millions of high net worth dollars, one relationship at a time. He co-founded Mad River Management in 1991, Long Point Investors in 1992, and Mad River Investors in 1999. Rick has over two decades of experience in partnering with investment managers and delivering results and service to discriminating clients. He holds a Series 65 license and prior to founding Mad River, he was a registered representative with Gruntal, H.C. Wainwright, Homans McGraw Trull Valeo and Smith Barney. Before joining the investment business in 1983, Rick held financial management positions with CPC International and Tiger International. Rick earned an MBA, cum laude, from Northeastern University in 1981. He also enjoys skiing, boating, scuba diving, and most things outdoors.

Stephen Carluccio - Chief Legal Officer, COO

Since 2015 Stephen has served as COO/GC. He has served as Mad River's Chief Compliance Officer since 2008 and legal counsel and compliance, regulatory, and strategy consultant since 2004. Stephen has worked in financial services since 1997 as a regulatory and business consultant, and chief compliance officer for hedge funds, SEC-registered investment advisers, registered investment companies, and broker- dealers. From 1997 to 2003 he served as GC/V.P. at broker-dealer, Delta Equity Services Corp. From 2004 until 2015 he operated his own legal, regulatory and business consulting firm. Stephen has an undergraduate degree from American University and Law/MBA degrees from Boston University, where he graduated cum laude. He has been a member of the Town of Bedford, Massachusetts Finance Committee since 2011 and is on the Board of Directors of the Town of Bedford youth baseball/softball organization since 2008.
