NORTHSHORE ANIMAL HOSPITAL - Key Persons
Dr. Allison Stock joined the Northshore Animal Hospital team in February of 2014. She grew up in Tavares, Florida, a small town north of Orlando. She received her BA in Biology and Chemistry from Maryville College and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Stock has a passion for the well-being of all animals, and she treats each and every patient as if they were her own pet. Her veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, oncology, preventive medicine, and zoo animal medicine.
Dr. Cassidy Shambeau joined the Northshore Animal Hospital team in June of 2022. Dr. Shambeau is originally from West Tennessee, growing up in the small town of Adamsville. She studied Animal Science at the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee. She is excited to continue to call Knoxville her home and looks forward to building long-lasting relationships with her clients and patients. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include preventative care, dentistry, and feline medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, George and Charlotte, trying out new restaurants in the area, visiting antique shops, and painting.
Dr. Claire Johnson joined the Northshore Animal Hospital team in June of 2020. She grew up in the Knoxville area and prior to attending veterinary school, worked on the Northshore Animal Hospital team. She earned her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee.
She states:
"I am grateful to have achieved my lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. I am always honored by the trust placed in me, not only by my patients but also by the people who love them. I treasure the relationships that are developed with my clients as we work together to ensure that the pets they love receive the best care possible and are always treated with kindness, compassion, and respect."

Dr. Denise Frazier founded Northshore Animal Hospital which she established in November 2000. She planned and designed the hospital using 23 years of clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery. Her children, Matt and Lori, worked alongside her to develop and grow the hospital. Lori loved the business and animals so much that she has stayed to manage the practice.
Dr. Frazier grew up in Norcross, Georgia, and was valedictorian of her high school class. She received her B.S. degree in Microbiology and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia. She graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honorary societies. She is licensed in Maryland, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, and Tennessee. Her children, Matt and Lori both graduated from Farragut High School. For this family, the Red and Black of Georgia has been replaced with the Orange of Tennessee! Go Vols!
Throughout her career, Dr. Frazier has been active in the veterinary community. Dr. Frazier is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, and the Knoxville Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Frazier knew her love of animals and her desire to be a veterinarian would lead her to have her own hospital someday. Northshore Animal Hospital has made that dream come true. She and her family are very grateful for the love and support of the community and all of her patients!
Lori has provided operations leadership for Northshore Animal Hospital since its inception. As Practice Manager, she works to maintain the highest levels of quality and customer service that our clients have come to expect. Lori has a small farm where her many animals include English Labs, Great Pyrenees (goat protectors!), barn kitties, mini donkeys, and Nigerian dwarf goats.
