NAO is still owned by local investors including Bill's son, Ron who manages the store with the help of his team. In 2013, Ron moved The Nugget Alaskan Outfitter to its current location at the Mendenhall Mall. The new site has more square footage, taking NAO from 11,000 square feet to more than 15,000. NAO carries a huge assortment of raingear, from industrial strength to the latest high tech jackets, footwear from Xtratuf boots to Dansko clogs, a large variety of outerwear, work and outdoor clothing, men's and women's sportswear as well as a section devoted to running.
