Justin Thornton

Job Titles:
  • Estimator
  • Project Manager
After college, I worked at my father's business in Seattle, a full-service embroidery house specializing in tackle twill and other appliqué processes and worked on the game-worn and retail jerseys for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, MLB's Seattle Mariners, WNBA's Seattle Storm, WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds and Everett Silvertips and the NCAA's University of Washington Huskies. I started working in the Industrial Coatings Industry in February 2015. My job consisted of working in the shop as a shop helper, prepping and setting up parts for the blasters and painters. Once the painting process was completed, I packaged up parts making them ready for shipment. After a few months as shop helper, I was promoted to forklift operator. My main tasks as a forklift operator were unloading new steel to be coated, loading coated steel on either flatbed semi-trailers and customer's trucks. In December of 2015, I was promoted to the office as an Estimator. Since becoming an Estimator I've bid jobs, suggested paint systems to customers, and managed large projects in the shop, working with all shop personnel and third-party inspectors ensuring the project meets the customer's satisfaction. I began my profession at NPIC In 2018. When I am not working, you will most likely find me on the golf course in the spring and summer or in the mountains snowmobiling or hunting in the winter.

Mark McRobie

Job Titles:
  • General Manager
After spending a couple of years in trade school and a couple in the autobody trade, I was asked to be an apprentice painter. I started this journey in 1983. Progressing thru the ranks as a painter, then lead painter, swing foreman, and finally shop superintendent. In the year 2000, I was involved with building a paint shop from the ground up. After a few name changes, North pacific Industrial Coatings emerged. My role here started as shop superintendent. As the industry continued the focus on Quality control and documentation, I took on the position of Quality control. I also spent some time helping out with estimating and managing some smaller projects. Through longevity, I have reached General Manager. I still estimate larger projects and manage the day to day but when you're surrounded by good people you can't help but shine. I have many hobbies. Two of which are my kids, (playing Bob the Builder, working on their homes). I enjoy salmon, halibut, and walleye fishing. I deer and turkey hunt. I like to smoke/BBQ all year long. I enjoy reaping the harvest of a small vegetable garden.
