Chuck Wagner - CTO

Chuck has over 33 years of operations, maintenance, design and application of energy production and energy conversion systems. His positions span the spectrum from operator and engineer to executive in utility and independent power producer environments. In addition to extensive background and contacts in the regulatory, incumbent producers, and development business space, Chuck has years of experience with industrial scale technology in Nuclear, Gas, Coal and Wind production of electric power. He has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, a graduate degree equivalent from Adm H G Rickover's navy nuclear program and graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering. Robert Campbell - Managing Director; B|Riley Mr. Campbell joined B. Riley & Co. in 2003 as part of the firm's merger with L.H. Friend, Weinress, Frankson & Presson, an Irvine-based investment bank and securities broker-dealer. Bob began his financial services career in 1978 with the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG). From 1982 to 1995, he was a Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance with the Seidler Companies, a Los Angeles based investment bank and brokerage firm. From 1995 to 2003, Mr. Campbell was a Managing Director of Corporate Finance with L.H. Friend, Weinress, Frankson & Presson. Mr. Campbell has a successful track record of working with emerging growth and middle market companies to enhance shareholder value through strategic planning and corporate finance initiatives. He has served as a financial advisor on numerous successful engagements including: Jimsair Aviation, Intercoastal Manufacturing Company, Kitty Hawk, Pearlman Corporation, Computer Access Technology Corporation, Magnetek, Aderans Research Institute, Bosley Medical Institute, Barth & Dreyfuss of California, Flight Options International, Million Air (Palm Springs and La Quinta), Senn-Delaney Leadership Consulting Group, Dover Downs Entertainment, Grand Prix Association of Long Beach, Laser Power Corporation, Oroamerica, Oregon Metallurgical Corporation, Telos Corporation, All American Communications, Haskel International, Custom Chrome, Kasler Corporation and OroAmerica. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Modtech Holdings. Mr. Campbell graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University and holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. Bob is also a Certified Public Accountant.

David McFeeters-Krone

David McFeeters-Krone - Technology Licensing/Commercialization: Federal Labs Mr. McFeeters-Krone has Principal at Intellectual Assets Corporation has a strong background in licensing from positions with MIT, NASA, and Intel. He has provided Intellectual Property strategy services to DoD, NASA, Sharp Technology Ventures, Tektronix, Deloitte, OHSU, Providence Medical Center, PSC Inc., the National Technology Transfer Center, and numerous small firms. Prior to forming his firm, he served as CenterSpan's Vice President of Strategic Planning and prior to that at Intel where he represented internet communication technologies, seeking outside (and internal) partners to commercialize Intel Labs'ą°²oducts. Mr. McFeeters-Krone is a member of the Licensing Executives Society and the Federal Laboratory Consortium; a contributing author for the Association of University Technology Managers' Technology Transfer Practice Manual; and often presents on IP business issues. He holds a Physics degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He serves on the advisory boards of Innovation Assets Group and Stragellan; is a adjunct professor at Portland State University; and is a recent recipient of the Portland Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" award.

Dennis Powers

Dennis Powers - Technology Commercialization / Investments Dennis Powers is currently the Managing Partner of Cornerstone Management Resources. CMR is a successful consulting firm focusing on all aspects of business development and revenue acceleration for emerging and mid-market companies. He has successfully completed numerous projects involving strategic planning, business plan creation, sales channel development, marketing communication programs, merger/acquisitions and assistance in raising early stage funding. Mr. Powers is also an Executive in Residence at the Oregon Technology Business Center, a leading incubator in Oregon, Chair of the Portland Angel Network, and an active angel investor.

Dixie Lee Samuels

Fred Buckman

Fred Buckman, Jr. is Vice President of Development for Pacific West Energy, a renewable energy company where he is responsible for the development efforts for both transportation fuels and grid energy. Mr. Buckman has 10 years experience in the electric utility and energy sector, primarily in operations, asset management, and development. Prior to Pacific West Energy, Fred spent several years developing early stage opportunities and originating acquisitions with N4 Development. Prior to N4, he served in several management capacities for Southern Company; these include the Flue Gas Desulphurization of Southern Company's large coal-fired power plant feet, asset management of Southern Power Company's wholesale gas-fired power fleet, and several operations and maintenance functions in Alabama Power Company's coal-fired power plant fleet. Fred has a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and the University of Michigan, respectively.

Greg Horner

Greg Horner - Research & Technology Development Greg Horner is a founding member and CTO of Tau Science Corporation. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, Tau Science is a 2008 startup that develops novel test and measurement tools for solar photovoltaic manufacturing lines. Prior to Tau Science, Greg held engineering management and staff scientist positions at FEI, KLA-Tencor, and Keithley Instruments. He holds a B.A. in Astrogeophysics from Colgate University, an M.S. in Applied Physics from Colorado School of Mines, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from C.U. Boulder. He performed his graduate research in solar cell and materials characterization at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and has received 15 patents and published more than 30 technical papers in the field.

Jeff Slaughter

Jeff has 22 years in the energy industry with Atlantic Richfield CO (ARCO) oil and gas distribution and Enron in power, having stated his career at Touche Ross and Company. He is an experienced Vice President, CFO and Senior Financial/Business Development executive with an extensive background in domestic and International financial operations. Responsibilities include financial operations, planning and budgeting, financing and investor relations, contract negotiations, M&A, due diligence support and integration. He has an MBA from the University of Dallas and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kevin Watkins

Kevin Watkins - Energy Industry / Commercialization Kevin Watkins is the Engineering Vice President of PNGC Power. Mr. Watkins leads and manages the operations and recent capacity expansion of the Coffin Butte Resource Project, a 5.7 MW landfill-gas-to-energy generation facility. Kevin is responsible for directing technology and resource demonstration activities including the Ocean Wave Energy Demonstration Project and a multi-year fuel cell demonstration. He leads the evaluation of emerging and conventional generation resources for inclusion in integrated resource planning. Mr. Watkins has 10 years experience in the planning, design and engineering of high-voltage transmission systems and over 25 years experience in planning, evaluating and operating generating resources. Prior to PNGC Power, Kevin was a Senior Resource Analyst for the Pacific NW Utilities Conference Committee (PNUCC), and Section Chief, Resource Supply Section for the Bonneville Power Administration. Kevin serves on both the Generating Resource Advisory Committee for the Northwest Power and Conservation Council and the Small Scale Energy Loan Program Advisory Committee for the State of Oregon. Kevin is a Registered Professional Engineer in Oregon. "Sustainable Profitability" is Kevin's idea.

Mark Paul - CEO

Mark has led small to public companies in interim executive roles and brought technology to market for 30 years. He has consulted with numerous small to mid-sized technology companies. Prior to consulting, he held a series of positions with ever-increasing responsibility for 10 years at Northrop Corporation. This culminated in building & leading (within 2 years) a multi-million dollar international technology business unit - where he had full P&L responsibility for hundreds of people in line and project roles. During his tenure at Northrop, he invested $10,000 in thin-seam coal-mining technology(at 25 years old). After it imploded, he was elected General Partner and obtained 100% of investors' money back (at 29 years old). He is an Executive-in-Residence at OTBC, published "The Entrepreneur's Survival Guide", "How to Attract Significantly More Customers", and just recently, "The 21st Century Energy Initiative: How to Solve Our Energy Problems". He has a degree in Physics (from the University of Irvine, California), post-graduate studies at Cal-Tech, a patent and is passionate about enabling the United States to be a net-exporter of renewable energy / technologies.

Patrick Wheeler

Patrick brings more than 30 years of banking and financial services experience to his clients. He has worked with a wide range of established and emerging companies to develop and implement sound financial and personnel practices. As a Regional Manager for a regional bank, he oversaw several lending and operational units. He has financial services industry, international trading and contract CFO expertise. Patrick held executive roles (General Manager) at Lamb Industries and (CEO) at Digital Connex, LLC. He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance / Banking and is the principal of Management Contract Services.

Steve Morris

Steve Morris - Technology Commercialization / Business Incubation Steve Morris is the Executive Director of OTBC and the Managing Director of OregonStartups.com. He has more than 25 years of management experience in the software, service, and semiconductor test industries at companies such as Hewlett Packard, Integrated Measurement Systems, Cadence Design Systems, Mentor Graphics, and Credence Corporation. Prior to joining OTBC, he founded OregonStartups.com, providing consulting and web-based advice and information or startup companies. He founded Teseda Corporation and served as CEO from 2001 to 2005, and prior to that founded two internal startups in larger companies. He holds a B.A. in mathematics from Reed College and a Masters of Science degree from Carnegie-Mellon University Graduate School of Industrial Administration (now The Tepper School of Business).
