The OCT also is used to image the Optic Nerve to identify and monitor early stages of Glaucoma. Our Automated Threshold Visual Field unit monitors early visual changes in glaucoma and neurological conditions, and also is used to watch for retinal changes in those patients wh o are taking Plaquenil ( hydroxychloroquine). Our Automated Refractor instrument almost instantly is able to give an objective determination of what the patient glasses RX might be, extremely useful with young children or other..
