Caroline Ostrom provides personalized immigration law services to Ostrom Law Office's corporate and individual clients. Ms. Ostrom is currently on the Board of Publications for AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) and has been also a frequent speaker on business immigration and served as Chair of the Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter of AILA.
Ms. Ostrom assists companies and individuals in obtaining visas and green cards in the U.S. and at consulates worldwide. On the employment side, representative cases include H-1Bs (temporary worker), TNs (NAFTA Professional), L-1A/L-1B (intracompany transferee), E-2 (treaty investor), O-1 (outstanding ability), PERM (Labor Cert.), Extraordinary Ability Petitions (EB-1A), Multinational Executives or Managers (EB-1C), EB-2 National Interest Waivers (EB-2 NIW), and Outstanding Professor or Researcher Petitions (EB-1B). Ms. Ostrom's clients range from established companies to start-ups. She has had success responding to difficult Requests for Evidence on complex cases. She also brings her experience as in-house immigration counsel to advise clients on HR immigration compliance matters, including I-9s, LCA Public Access Files, and E-verify.
On the family side, cases include fiancée petitions (K-1), marriage-based cases (I-130/I-485/I-864 Affidavit of Support), green cards for qualifying family members, consular processing, removal of conditions (I-751 petitions), and I-601 and I-601A waivers. Ms. Ostrom also represents clients in individual matters, such as filing for U.S. citizenship, applying for or extending DACA or TPS statuses, and J-1 waivers.

Jenny Brooks is a Senior Case Manager at Ostrom Law Office. Jenny has worked at Ostrom Law Office since 2017, in a number of different roles. As a Senior Case Manager, Jenny assists with employment-based and family-based immigration cases for both companies and individuals, along with general firm management. Her favorite cases are the complicated ones, including PERM (labor certification) and waiver (I-601, I-601A, etc.) cases.
Jenny graduated from Macalester College with dual majors in International Studies and History, and dual minors in Hispanic Studies (Spanish) and Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies. During this time, she developed her Spanish-speaking skills while studying abroad in Seville, Spain, and now enjoys assisting Spanish-speaking clients with translations and resources.
Jenny is currently a part-time student at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, pursuing a Juris Doctor degree. She is passionate about the immigrant community in the Twin Cities and plans to continue working in immigrant law for a long time to come.

Merete Witkovsky (Mer-ay-tuh Wit-kov-ski) is the Legal Assistant at Ostrom Law Office. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College in 2022 with a major in International Studies and an academic concentration in Human Rights and Humanitarianism. Merete mostly works on family-based immigration cases and day-to-day office work.
Merete was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. She enjoys the Wisconsin/Minnesota sports rivalry, but won't say which state she roots for to keep the peace. Merete discovered her interest in immigration law during her International Human Rights course at Macalester. As a student, she volunteered as an immigration court observer and interned with a refugee resettlement agency in the Twin Cities. Merete enjoys her work at Ostrom Law Office and helping clients achieve their immigration goals.
