Clair E. Schaff

Job Titles:
  • Attorney
Clair Schaff grew up outside of Cambridge on a farm near Oxlip, MN. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1971, and then attended St. John's University. After graduating from college, Clair worked in sales for sixteen years for Owens Corning Fiberglas. While working for Owens Corning, Clair attended night school and received his M.B.A. degree from St. Thomas College, and later a law degree from William Mitchell Law School in St. Paul. Clair has practiced law for over 30 years, with much of his legal career focusing on employment law, construction law, family law and general litigation. He has extensive trial experience in both State and Federal Courts. He has made arguments to the State Court of Appeals, the State Supreme Court, and the Federal Circuit Court in St. Louis. In 1988, Clair moved back to Cambridge and built a home in Goldenwood. From there, his four children grew up and graduated from Cambridge High School. For many years Clair was involved with the local youth hockey and baseball programs. Now much of his free time is spent with family and friends at his cabin. Clair joined Parker Satrom Law, P.A. in 2016 and is involved in the general practice of law. He handles cases involving matters such as employment and construction law, family law/divorce/child custody, estate planning, wills, personal injury and general litigation. "Almost every aspect of our lives involves legal issues to some extent. Whether it involves employment issues, buying and selling property, divorce, raising children, estate planning and dealing with property at the time of death, legal rights and responsibilities affect how we do things. Decisions that people make concerning these legal issues can have long lasting and sometimes irreversible results. A large part of my job involves explaining to the client their rights and responsibilities, how the law relates to what they are trying to do and developing the best action plan for them. No two clients and what they are trying to accomplish are the same, and personal attention needs to be given until every issue is resolved. What I have liked the most about practicing law are the people I have met, the interesting subject matters they have brought forth, and the process of finding solutions to their needs. Some of the people I have worked with will never be forgotten and I am thankful for the opportunities I've had to meet them." Practice Areas Estate Planning and Wills
