Curtis E. Schmillen

Mr. Schmillen is a frequent speaker at professional society events such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), where he was recognized for his contributions to the industry and awarded the "Young Engineer of the Year" in 1999 for "Outstanding Achievement in the Engineering Profession". He was also selected for the prestigious "Leadership Development Internship" program in 2002, a year long term that serves as a training opportunity and exposes the six selected candidates to ASME workings at the national and international level.

Timothy F. Murphy

Mr. Murphy joined Paramount Associates, LLC full time in January ‘2002' and brings with him more than 35 years of experience in the mechanical contracting and construction industry. From ‘1993' to ‘2002' he was a member of the Harris Companies, Inc, one of the nations largest mechanical contractors headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota. As Project Manager and later Senior Project Manager, he successfully managed large heavy industrial and power & process projects each with a mechanical scope in excess of $20 million dollars. In 1995 he was tasked with overseeing all legal matters for the company reporting directly to the CEO, a role he maintained until his departure in December ‘2001'. In ‘1996' he became a minority shareholder in the firm and in ‘1998'was named Corporate Vice President. In ‘2000' he rose to V.P. of Field Services (Operations). In this position he was responsible for all manpower and labor/union related activities (438 trades people), fleet and related programs (155+ vehicles), corporate safety, corporate communications, warehousing & distribution, construction related insurance programs, worker compensation & managed care programs as well as all contract management & legal affairs. In the fall of ‘2001' he was promoted to V.P. of Contract Management and Legal. During his eight year employment, Harris' sales volume increased from $48 million in 1994 to $130 million in ‘2001'. Mr. Murphy is also the former president & CEO of Micro Mechanical Corporation (NJ - ‘1989' to ‘1992') and the former V.P. Operations & Executive Vice President of the Sunland Mechanical Group (CA - ‘1980' to ‘1983'). He attended Seton Hall University (Business Administration ‘1972' to ‘1976') and is a graduate of Plumbers Local #2 Apprenticeship School, New York City (‘1975' to ‘1978'). He holds plumbing licenses in several states, Plumbing & Mechanical Inspector licenses (ICS & HHS - inactive) in N.J. and BOCA certification nationally. He has an extensive background in all segments of the contracting industry; residential, commercial, industrial, and power/process. Mr. Murphy has been a featured speaker at Minnesota Law & Politic seminars, as well as at various state and local trade events. Mr. Murphy has been named to the International Who's Who of Professional Managers and the Who's Who of Professionals.
