Dr. Omid Rabbani

Omid Rabbani, M.D. is a board certified adult neurologist who practices in Ventura County, California. Since joining the practice of Dr. Henry Tang in August of 2012, he provides comprehensive general neurological care in the cities of Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. His clinical interests include Memory disorders/Dementia, Stroke, Epilepsy/Seizures, Headaches and Back pain. Dr. Rabbani also provides electrodiagnostic testing in the office including EEGs and EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies. In addition, he offers Botox injections for chronic migraine patients as well as carpal tunnel injections and occipital nerve blocks. Dr. Rabbani also has experience working with Vagal Nerve Stimulators in patients dealing with epilepsy. Dr. Rabbani comes to Ventura County after practicing general neurology in Naples, Florida for five years. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and graduated with Highest Honors in the interdisciplinary major of Neurobiological Sciences. Dr. Rabbani had an early interest in neurological research while in college and was able to publish three medical articles before beginning medical school. Additionally, he obtained an undergraduate research grant in 1997 from the American Foundation for Aging Research. In 2003, Dr. Rabbani graduated from The Chicago Medical School/FUHS and then began his medical Internship and Neurology Residency at The University of Florida. In 2004, he received a Shands Hospital Star Certificate for dedication to patient care. After completing his Neurology Residency in 2007, Dr. Rabbani joined a busy and successful multispecialty private group practice. Expanding on his interest in medical research, he was involved in over sixteen clinical research studies during the past few years. In fact, he is the director of our practice's Clinical Research Department here at Patient Focused Neurology and is actively recruiting patients for various medication trials. Dr. Rabbani is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Rabbani treats his patients with utmost care and compassion. His bedside manners are par to none; his work ethic is thorough and comprehensive. Dr. Rabbani enjoys his work as a neurologist and has helped improve the lives of many patients thus far in his career. When not working, Dr. Rabbani enjoys playing basketball, exercising, watching movies, playing piano and traveling. Dr. Ramachandra Tata

Dr. Ramachandra Tata migrated with his family to USA in 1988 after having studied medicine and worked in India and Saudi Arabia. His schooling in India was exemplary - a cum laude MD degree in internal medicine at Andhra University where he was given several awards including the gold medal for best outgoing student from among all medical colleges of the university. After his arrival, Dr. Tata immediately enrolled in an internist program in a New York hospital and soon after chose to specialize in Neurology, the certification of which he was able to obtain successfully the very first time. His dedication and passion for his work is evident from the accolades and praises from his peers and particularly his patients. After working as a consulting neurologist at hospitals in Pennsylvania, Dr. Tata established his own neurology practice in Newcastle, Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2015. Dr. Tata moved to California in September 2015 and remains true to his calling as a physician. He brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to Patient Focused Neurology in his chosen field of neurology. Dr. Tata is pleasant and compassionate when treating his patients and will remain a valuable asset to the practice of medicine. Dr. Tata has been a contributing member of the American Neurology Association since 2001. His wife, Lalitha, is a charming homemaker and always welcomes visitors with grace and love. Their daughters have moved away from home - one as a clinical pharmacist in a Maryland Medical centre and the younger as a business analyst in Seattle. Dr. Tata keeps himself fit with tennis and hiking. He prides himself for his knowledge of Hindu spirituality and South Indian classical music and shares that knowledge with others. Dr. Tata is always willing to spare time helping others and volunteering at medical camps that provide free medical service to needy communities.

Dr. Ryan Bowes

Dr. Ryan Bowes is a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in the field of epilepsy. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with a minor in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University, where he was also a member of the Honors College and Lyman-Briggs College. In 2016, he graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Bradenton. He then moved to Los Angeles for his residency training at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, where he served in his final year as Chief Resident. He completed his training in 2021 at the University of Southern California, where he received specialty training as a clinical epilepsy fellow in electroencephalography (EEG), electrocorticography (ECoG), vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), responsive neurostimulation (RNS), and resective surgery. Dr.Bowes served as the resident member of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's (ACGME) Neurology Review Committee. He also served as a representative on the Council of Review Committee Residents, where he was also elected chair of the Resident Well-Being Subcommittee. In his free times, Dr.Bowes enjoys hiking, photography, movies, and travel.

Henry Tung Tang

Aside from spending time with his wife Teresa and his three children Eva, Mia and Evan, Dr. Tang's interests include basketball, ping pong, sports, movies and traveling. He currently resides with his family in the Ventura County. Dr. Henry Tung Tang is a triple-board-certified and fellowship trained neurologist practicing in Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks of the Ventura County since 2008. He is board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Tang was born in Hong Kong, but raised in Los Angeles. Dr. Tang obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of California at Irvine, where he graduated with both Cum Laude and Biological Research Honors in 1998. The following year, he worked as a pharmaceutical analyst at Allergan Inc. in addition to doing research and teaching at Premier Academy for gifted high school students. In 2003, he graduated medical school in the top 15% and with honors from Western University of Health Sciences. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at UCSF-Fresno in 2004 and received the Hardest Working Resident Award. In 2007, he completed his Neurology Residency training at Loma Linda University, where he was elected Chief Resident his final year and he was recognized as the Neurology Resident of the Year. Dr. Tang remained at Loma Linda University for a fellowship and finished it in 2008. His fellowship was in Clinical Neurophysiology which included training in performing and interpreting nerve conduction studies and electromyography (NCS and EMG), electroencephalograms, (EEG) and brainstem auditory, visual and somatosensory evoked potentials (BAER, VER, SSEP). Dr. Tang enjoys practicing general neurology, performing and interpreting EMG/NCS and interpreting EEGs. Dr. Tang was given the Outstanding Clinical Neurophysiology Fellow Award in 2008. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, AAN, AANEM, and AHA/ASA.
