Ajay Shah


Deanna Rosenbaum Hall

Deanna Rosenbaum Hall concentrates her practice in both labor and employment law for public and private sector employers. Ms. Rosenbaum Hall advises clients in negotiations of collective bargaining agreements, grievance arbitrations and unfair labor practice proceedings. She has represented a number of employers in discrimination cases before the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Much of her practice is focused on working with clients on day-to-day employment law matters, including contract interpretation, Family Medical Leave Act requirements, employee compensation and working hours requirements under both state and Federal law, advising employers on hiring and termination procedures, and drafting and review of employee handbooks and guidelines. Prior to joining Peterson Johnson & Murray, Ms. Rosenbaum Hall was an Administrative Law Judge with the Illinois Labor Relations Board. She has experience investigating and adjudicating unfair labor practice allegations, handling union certification petitions and issuing recommended decisions and orders.

Joselyn R. Mathews

Joselyn Mathews concentrates her practice in general litigation, municipal law, village prosecutions, insurance regulatory work, and insurance defense. Joselyn gained invaluable experience in a wide variety of practice areas as a law clerk at Peterson, Johnson & Murray. She also clerked for the Illinois Attorney General at the Public Access Bureau and volunteered at the Fair Housing Clinic at the John Marshall Law School. Joselyn was later nominated and inducted into the Order of Barristers for her skills in oral advocacy and brief writing.

Kevin Kearney


Kory Atkinson

Kory Atkinson practices in the areas of election law, real estate taxation, and local government matters. Kory previously worked as an associate for a mid-sized Chicago-based firm representing local governments, and as an assistant corporation counsel for the City of Chicago. Kory also served as the director of operations for a school district. In this role, Kory oversaw budget and finances, facilities maintenance and expansion, and technology. Kory also served as the lead negotiator in collective bargaining with the school district's unions. Kory has experience as an elected official for the Village of Roselle, the Roselle Public Library District, and the College of DuPage. Kory received both his Juris Doctor and Masters in School Business Management from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts from Knox College.

Paul A. O'Grady

Paul O'Grady concentrates his practice in general litigation, civil rights litigation, including Section 1983 claims, and appeals. Mr. O'Grady has practiced in a broad spectrum of legal matters ranging from defense of premises liability, automobile liability, general tort actions, civil rights claims, and defending class action claims. He has counseled employers on promulgating and revising internal policies and procedures, drafting employment agreements and severance agreements, conducting investigations of internal claims of work place harassment, and implementing progressive discipline and other adverse job actions. Mr. O'Grady's practice also includes the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements and the implementation of state and federal labor, employment and discrimination laws on behalf of public and private sector employers. Mr. O'Grady is currently a Special State's Attorney in both Cook and Will Counties and a Special Attorney General for the Illinois Attorney General's Office defending Cook and Will Counties and the State of Illinois in various litigated claims in both State and Federal District Court throughout Illinois. Also, Mr. O'Grady has been selected as panel counsel for two large insurance pools to protect their insured interests. Mr. O'Grady has served as a Special Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago. Mr. O'Grady is also certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as an instructional expert in: criminal law; criminal procedure; legal liability; use of force; arrest procedures; law for correctional officers; Illinois correctional jail standards; and detainee rights and privileges. Mr. O'Grady's practice has been highlighted in the February 2011 issue of Chicago Lawyer Magazine.

Shantel I. Perez

Shantel Perez joined Peterson, Johnson & Murray in 2016 as an Associate Attorney. She concentrates her practice in insurance defense, civil rights, village prosecutions and municipal law - focusing on cases with Spanish speaking parties. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Perez served as a city prosecutor for the City of Chicago traffic court division. She gained experience in prosecuting traffic court violations and city misdemeanor violations at respective branch courts. She also handled administrative hearing matters. During her service as a prosecutor for the City of Chicago, Ms. Perez conducted approximately 200 bench trials on behalf of the city. Previously, Ms. Perez was a Site Acquisition -Site Manager for Creospan. She negotiated and drafted leases for over 200 site developments for various telecommunication companies. She also obtained zoning and building permits for the colocation to cell towers and additions of microwave and generators to respective sites.

Thomas J. Condon

Thomas J. Condon, Jr. is a trial lawyer whose competency in advocacy, counseling, and litigation traverses a broad spectrum of subject matters. Tom has represented individuals, businesses and municipalities in matters involving personal injury, licensing and regulatory issues, dram shop, construction defects, contract disputes, mechanics liens, product liability, land use and planning, and transportation. Tom has successfully tried a significant number of matters to verdict before both the bench and juries. He also has effectively resolved matters through alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation. Previously, Tom was the Assistant Departmental Counsel for the City of Chicago Department of Buildings. In that role, he prosecuted violations and assisted in the drafting and review of municipal ordinances relating to the enforcement of the City of Chicago Building Code. Additionally, he was the Director of Fast Track Demolition.
