Daniel B. Edds

Mr. Edds has more than 15 years consulting with public sector and nonprofit organizations. The bulk of his work is in process analysis, costing, and process improvement. Prior to founding Praxis Solutions he was a project manager and senior project manager with two consulting firms. The latest was FCS Group, a well-respected regional firm based in Redmond, Washington. The other was Maximus, an international consulting firm that specializes in the public sector. In both of these organizations he provided activity and process based costing studies as well as cost and efficiency studies for public sector clients. His clients include city and county governments, K-12 public education organizations, state agencies, public sector nonprofits, social service organizations, and nonprofits. In 2003 Spiro Press, of London England, published a book he wrote titled "Transformation Management". This work is a how-to book on transforming public sector organizations by the management of internal work processes and activities. In addition, he is a certified lean practitioner, a senior Baldrige Quality Criteria examiner, a certified Balanced Scorecard practitioner, and a Project Manager Professional (PMP).

Kyle Usrey

Dr. Usrey is our higher education subject matter expert. Kyle holds both an MBA and a law degree from the University of Colorado. As an educator he has been the president of LCC International University in Lithuania, academic dean of the undergraduate college at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, and the charter dean of the School of Global Commerce and Management at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. As a professor, at both the Masters and Doctorate levels his teaching has focused on quality, Lean, Six Sigma, Balanced Scorecard analysis, Baldrige Quality Criteria, and triple bottom line reporting. In addition, he has taught and developed curriculum for non-profit leadership and management at the graduate level for two leading universities. His consulting work has bridged his law and teaching credentials and has focused on quality, operational improvement, international branding and legal risk assessments, strategy development, and board governance. As a consultant, he has worked with community based non-profit healthcare organizations, international NGO's as well as extensive work with issues of workforce housing, economic development, neighborhood leadership, and neighborhood councils for several low income communities.

Ms. Adina Suciu

  • Process and Performance Specialist
Ms. Suciu is a process and performance specialist. Prior to her consulting career she was a Vice President, Process Manager for Washington Mutual Savings Bank and JP Morgan Chase. In this capacity, she was responsible for creating the Business Process Management framework for the banking enterprise as well as the business process governance structure. She was the responsible for all process improvement projects to drive improved efficiency, savings, and reduce risk. In addition, she taught, coached, and mentored lean Green and Black Belt candidates within the bank. After completing her time with JP Morgan Chase she began a career in consulting and education. She is currently a member of the adjunct faculty at Everett Community College teaching lean green belt certification courses as well as courses on performance excellence. In addition, she is a member of the board of Examiners for the Baldrige National Quality Program, an assessor for European Framework for Quality Management, a judge and trainer for the Washington State Quality Award, a certified Soaring Crane Qigong instructor, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Ms. Anna Kay Dykes

Ms. Anna Kay Dykes, MBA has experience as a Baldrige Examiner at the national level. In addition, she brings over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. This includes her most recent position as the Executive Director, Southwest Washington Regional Health Alliance. Prior to this she was the Senior Vice President, Clinical Value and Chief Quality Officer - PeaceHealth.

Theo Yu

Job Titles:

Mr. Theo You is an experienced Baldrige examiner with over twenty years of experience in State government. He has served on the staffs of both Governors Gary Locke and Christine Gregoire. In addition, he has held management positions with the State Auditor's Office and the Department of Transportation. Theo is currently a PhD candidate in nonprofit management.
