Sonya Krishnan is a former senior government lawyer with a wealth of both private and public sector investigation experience. After practicing at a large Perth law firm, Sonya joined the public service at Department of Commerce before spending 9 years at Department of Environment & Conservation, WA (DEC). At DEC she managed the Legal Services Branch at executive level. She then spent 2 years at the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA), as the Assessment and Compliance Manager before leaving to pursue opportunities in PSTS. She served as the Chair of the Legal Cluster for The Australasian Environmental Law Enforcement and Regulators Network (AELERT) as well as continuing to be an active promoter of investigation and statutory compliance best practice at a national and international level. Sonya is a subject matter expert in regulatory and administrative (HR) investigations. Sonya is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee - Inspection for best practice advice on improvement to National Accredited Training.
