Alexandra joined PNS as Director of Contracting & Provider Services in 2014, where she formalized departmental policies and procedure, departmental standard operating procedures, solidified critical partnerships to help enhance the departments output to external clients and expanded the networks statewide. In 2017, she was promoted to Director of Business Development. During her time in this role, she streamlined the department's processes and centralized the communications for new business implementation among various departments, this resulted in 18 new contracts over a 5-year period and $156M in revenue.

Carlos Marban

Carlos Marban, Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Security, is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of healthcare information technology experience who delivers on enterprise IT needs from network and infrastructure management to software requirements gathering, design, implementation, and development. Carlos served in a similar capacity for the largest neonatology network in Florida, where he interacted with 250 providers and over 30 practice locations spanning the State of Florida, guiding the implementation of practice management software, hardware, network architecture, and overall service desk operations. His versatility in understanding the dynamics of practice and hospital-based management, clinical programs, and networks solidify the technology backbone behind all PNS services.

Daniela Cardoso

Daniela Cardoso, Vice President of Network Management of PNS, is an accomplished healthcare professional with diverse industry experience. Her career in the healthcare industry began in the field of rehabilitation medicine at Florida Rehabilitation Services, where she led the administrative functions for multiple physical therapy and rehabilitation locations in Florida. She also gained experience as the lead of contracting and servicing for a primary care MSO, South Florida Physician Management Group. Daniela joined PNS in 2010. She believes management and leadership start by setting the example of good work ethics and practicing clear communication. She serves as the Chairman of the Board for PNS Cares, a 501c3, which creates events with community partners to benefit the less privileged. Daniela holds certifications from the National Healthcare Quality Metrics and Project Management. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Dennys Gonzalez

Dennys Gonzalez, Vice President of Programming, is a Senior Programmer with over 20 plus years of experience in the Information Technology industry in the areas of software development and data processing. Dennys joined Provider Network Solutions in 2014 and has worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry in similar Data Analyst and Software Developer capacities. With over ten years of experience in US healthcare, Dennys brings technical solutions to mitigate human error, automate process outcomes, improve software routine efficiencies, track data over time, and reduce labor-intensive tasks via scripts. Dennys is passionate about technology and innovation. He continuously upgrades his skills by attending Information Technology conferences and classes, most recently in Artificial Intelligence. Dennys has completed two College Credit Certificates at Miami Dade College as a Web Development Specialist and Business Intelligence Professional.

Dr. Jose Pelayo - CEO, Founder

Jose Pelayo, D.C. Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and PNS Board Member, is an entrepreneurial executive with a successful history of developing and operationalizing innovative business models, organizational structures, and strategic plans in the healthcare industry. He has four decades of experience across several areas within the healthcare environment, focusing on the sectors of Practice Management, Management Service Organizations (MSOs), Medicare Advantage Organizations, and Third-Party Administration. Dr. Pelayo received his Doctorate Degree from New York Chiropractic College. He developed seven Medical and Chiropractic practices throughout South Florida, which he would later expand to become affiliated practices of the MSOs. As one of the founders and a Board Member of PNS, he is actively involved in the company's overall strategic direction. Under his leadership, PNS has increased and enhanced its specialty network offerings serving over 3.6 million lives on behalf of many of the major health plans in Florida and as a major player in the Puerto Rico market (PNS-PR).

Dr. Thao Tran

Thao Tran, MD, MPH is a physician and healthcare executive with a wide range of operational experience in the academic, clinical, and public healthcare sectors. Dr. Tran strategically aims to establish comprehensive, innovative, and integrated health care services and programs that demonstrate quality outcomes and offer cost-effective strategies. Dr. Tran earned her Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from California Polytechnic University and a Master of Public Health and Healthcare Policy from Loyola University. Dr. Tran has practiced medicine in an academic setting for over 15 years and has assisted higher education institutions and healthcare entities with federal and state regulatory compliance, legal issues, revenue cycle management, patient safety, and quality outcomes. Her vast knowledge of healthcare, operational expertise, and innovative approach have allowed for the establishment of numerous successful programs. During her tenure as Section Chief for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Methodist Hospital, she established the academic department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for Weill Cornell Medical College. She also developed a comprehensive spine center integrating rehabilitation, orthopedic, and neurosurgery service lines to provide comprehensive and holistic care that improved patient outcomes. While at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas, Dr. Tran served as the Medical Director for the Rehabilitation Unit within the Level I trauma hospital. In this role, she incorporated comprehensive rehabilitation services into acute care programs and clinical pathways that effectively transition patients through the continuum of post-acute care with quality patient outcomes and effectively reduced overall costs. Dr. Tran understands the need to provide integrated and custom care for all patients. As Medical Director for the Baptist Center for Spine Care at Baptist Hospital of Miami, she provided leadership to institute a multidisciplinary spine clinic. Dr. Tran developed a clinical pathway for spine care, established clinical measurements, and implemented nationally recognized best practices for benchmarking. Dr. Tran also served as the Medical Director of Keiser University's Graduate School Physician Assistant Program in the last nine years. Understanding the need for a shift in health service delivery, she worked with Keiser to develop and implement forward-thinking education for future front-line healthcare providers. Dr. Tran serves as the Chief Medical and Quality Officer for Provider Network Solution. In this role, she oversees utilization management and medical economics. She creates innovative care delivery and business models for primary care providers and sub-delegated specialties for various health plans and MSOs. Dr. Tran has devoted time in the last few years to working in the public sector as a member of the Board of Directors of the Health Foundation South Florida to improve the quality of life and health and wellness indicators for Miami Dade County. She dedicated her time as the past Board Chairwoman for Health Foundation of South Florida, responsible for leading the organization in new strategic visions and innovative impact investment. Currently, she is serving as Chairwoman for Community Advisory Board of PathWell at NOVA Southeastern University. Partnership Advancing Equitable Access to Health and Wellbeing (PATHWell) at Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD) will aim to create a national model for studying, integrating, disseminating, and measuring the causes and impacts of health inequities in underserved communities.

Dr. Thinh H. Tran - Chief Strategy Officer, President

Thinh H. Tran, MD, MBA, President and Chief Strategy Officer of PNS, is a seasoned physician and healthcare executive with academic, clinical, and payer expertise. Dr. Tran focuses his efforts on system design, process improvement, and innovation within the rapidly changing healthcare climate in the US and globally. Dr. Tran led a comprehensive network of three hospitals, 30+ outpatient facilities, and 1,200+ physicians and scientists across a four-county area as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Clinical Officer for the University of Miami Health System (UHealth). He enjoys strong relationships with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Health System. His career legacy in Florida also includes his ties with Baptist Health South Florida, where he served as Chief Medical and Quality Officer and Corporate Vice President. Dr. Tran is credited with elevating Baptist's reputation, locally and nationally, through his management of wellness and prevention, research and grants, accreditation, continuing medical education, as well as quality and patient safety. Dr. Tran's network extends beyond Florida. He served as Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. There, he was involved in developing and implementing a first-of-its-kind, long-distance physician training program in partnership with Weill Cornell Medical College. Additionally, he spent time with Aetna as Medical Director for the Southwest Region. He served on their national council for medical informatics and created a healthcare economic predictive model-based episode of care. Dr. Tran currently serves as Board Member and Chair of the Clinical Committee for the Nova Southeastern University College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU-MD). He holds a Medical Degree and a Bachelor's in Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management of the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.

Ron Johnson - Chairman, Founder, Shareholder

Ron Johnson, MBA, MHS, Chairman and Shareholder, possesses vast healthcare acumen with 36 years of experience in Multi-Specialty Physician Clinic Operations, Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Management Service Organizations (MSO's), Third Party Administrators (TPA's), and Hospital Administration environments. Ron began his healthcare leadership career with the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in Gainesville, Florida. He later joined CAC-Ramsay/United Healthcare through its acquisition stage. Ron also formed a partnership to launch MEDFIRST Health Plans of Louisiana, an HMO where he served as Shareholder, Vice President of Contracting and Network Development, and Governmental Liaison with the Louisiana Department of Insurance and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He has served as Chief Operating Officer for PhyMatrix Consulting and Managed Care (PCMC) and National Director of Network Development for Innovative Clinical Solutions, Ltd. (ICSL). Both entities were publicly traded companies in West Palm Beach, Florida, with various healthcare interests, including the management of single-specialty physician networks in 29 states.
