RED BANK ANIMAL HOSPITAL - Key Persons
Dr. Boggan graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Before coming to Red Bank Animal Hospital in 2010, she worked at a mixed animal practice in North Georgia. Prior to vet school, she worked for 8 years at The Baylor School as a dorm parent and math teacher.
Originally from a Chicago suburb, she enjoys living in the south. She keeps her hand in large animal work by caring for her two miniature donkeys and three goats. She also has two dogs. Dr. Boggan's free-time is generally spent catering to the needs of her (generally very unappreciative!) animals, though she enjoys gardening, reading, and hiking when she does get a few spare minutes.
Melissa attended Auburn University for both undergraduate and veterinary school. She graduated from Auburn with her Doctorate in 2011. After 5 years of working at a mixed animal practice near Auburn, Alabama, she and her family moved to the Chattanooga area and bought a small farm. She joined our team in 2016.
Melissa has been married to her husband, Robert, since 2011, and they have two young daughters. Melissa has two labs, Sammy and Birdie, and a black cat named Taco Bean. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing tennis and searching for artifacts on their property.
Dr. Wilke attended Auburn University, he graduated in 1985 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Wilke has been at RBAH since 2000. Originally from Montgomery, AL, he and his wife Marilyn have lived in the Chattanooga area since 1985. Their two grown children have 'flown the coop', but they have a cat named Mardi Gras who keeps them busy and their home mouse-free. Dr. Wilke has particular interest in dermatology and internal medicine. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music (on vinyl!), ham radio, and tinkering with engines and machinery.
