Most CMMs (layout, bridge, articulated arm, laser tracker) manufactured in last thirty years are still mechanically accurate. Some off them have outdated hardware and most of them have no or outdated software... Retrofitting these CMMs will not only extend their life but improve usability, accuracy and productivity at affordable price. It will save considerable money over purchasing a new CMM.
