Attorney DeAngelis

Attorney DeAngelis joined Ratcliffe Harten Galamaga, LLP after graduating law school in 2009 and passing the bar in both the State of Rhode Island and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She has focused her practice since 2009 primarily in the field of civil defense, with specializations in medical malpractice defense, premises liability, and other tort matters. She also routinely represents clients involved in professional licensing investigations in State and Federal matters, as well as representation of non-party witnesses and experts. Her scope of practice includes counsel to health care professionals in all legal matters, to include lecturing on medical malpractice issues and risk management to health care facilities and providers. She looks forward to continued representation of physicians, nurses, physician extenders, Hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care professionals, facilities and organizations.

Ben joined RHG LLP in 2014 as an associate attorney and focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense. He earned his J.D. from Albany Law School and was Senior Editor of the Albany Law Review. He then went on to practice civil litigation at an Albany firm for two years, specializing in professional liability, premises liability, and personal injury defense. Ben was named a Rhode Island Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017-18 and is admitted to practice in state and federal courts of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York.

J. Richard Ratcliffe

Richard Ratcliffe earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and clerked for the Rhode Island Supreme Court before joining a firm in Boston where he specialized in civil rights litigation. He then returned to Rhode Island, where he prosecuted narcotics and white collar/public corruption cases as a Rhode Island Assistant Attorney General and cross-designated Special Assistant United States Attorney. Richard represents individuals and corporations in civil and criminal proceedings in both state and federal courts. For the past 10 years he has been selected as a Rhode Island Super Lawyer and received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest possible rating on both legal ability and ethics. Richard is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Krystal Medeiros Palumbo

Krystal litigates civil cases. She attended Roger Williams University School of Law where she graduated cum laude. She was a member of the Honors Program and the Roger Williams University Law Review. Krystal attended Rhode Island College and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Justice Studies. While in law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Justice William P. Robinson III of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Thereafter, she clerked for the Rhode Island Supreme Court Trial Court Division. During that time, she worked closely with Associate Justice Sarah Taft-Carter on matters on the business calendar and civil dispositive motion calendar. Steve Harten is a founding partner of Ratcliffe Harten Galamaga LLP. He began his career as an adjuster for Amica Mutual Insurance Company and a claims investigator for the Rhode Island Medical Malpractice Joint Underwriting Association. After graduating with honors from Suffolk University Law School in 1988, he joined Morrison Mahoney & Miller, where he spent seven years as an associate and five years as a partner. In 2000, he helped establish the firm now known as RHG LLP. Steve has represented litigants in all aspects of civil litigation including medical malpractice defense, personal injury, wrongful death actions, municipal liability, and healthcare licensing matters. Steve has been honored with the Martindale Hubbell AV preeminent rating by his peers and the judiciary. This is the highest possible rating for both legal ability and ethics. Steve has been successfully trying cases in the state and federal courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts since 1989.
