Adam Lindenbaum

Adam Lindenbaum joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2013 and is a Member with the firm's Litigation Department. Lindenbaum represents real estate firms, developers and tenants in connection with their use, management and operation of commercial real estate. He focuses his practice on handling disputes involving complex landlord-tenant matters, real estate ownership and commercial litigation. Lindenbaum also has extensive experience involving residential real estate and landlord-tenant matters including those involving cooperative and condominium boards, rent control, rent stabilization and the loft law. Lindenbaum has practiced before all state, federal and appellate courts in New York, the American Arbitration Association, as well as numerous administrative agencies. Lindenbaum received a bachelor's degree from Cornell University and earned his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

Adam R. Sanders

Adam R. Sanders joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2016 and is a Member with the firm's Transactional Department. His practice focuses on representing clients in a wide variety of commercial real estate and business transactions and matters, including acquisitions and sales, financing, leasing, construction, portfolio structuring, cooperative and condominium boards representation, Local Law 97, 1031 transactions and general corporate representation in the real estate, entertainment and web/technology industries. Sanders is the firm's go-to expert for all matters concerning Opportunity Zones. Investors and real estate developers exclusively rely on him for program updates and comprehensive legal analyses, keeping them on the cutting edge of the program even before regulations are released. Prior to joining Rosenberg & Estis, Sanders was Founder and Principal of Sanders Legal Group, PLLC. Before becoming an attorney, Sanders participated in Agent Training Program at William Morris Agency (Endeavor) and worked at SNL Studios (the feature film division of Saturday Night Live). Sanders received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Yang regularly reviews renewal leases and rent demands to identify discrepancies and to prepare non-payment petitions. Yang worked at Rosenberg & Estis as a Law Clerk before becoming an Associate.

Ariel S. Bresky

Ariel S. Bresky joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2023 and is an Associate with the firm's Litigation Department. Bresky is skilled and tenacious litigator known for delivering sharp and creative solutions. With experience as both general and litigation counsel, Bresky provides practical and legal advice, while judiciously considering all economic and business impact. Bresky strongly believes in developing personalized relationships which go beyond individual matters, allowing him to successfully advance client's far-reaching visions and objectives. As his primary area of practice, Bresky concentrates on civil litigation, with an emphasis on real estate, complex commercial and business disputes. His litigation practice encompasses a wide range of matters for a diverse clientele. In the commercial real estate arena, Bresky represents developers, owners, landlords and tenants on matters concerning ownership, operation and use of real estate, including lease disputes, transactional disputes, partnership disputes, brokerage disputes, title disputes, easement and restrictive covenant disputes, mechanic lien proceedings, nuisance and trespass actions and construction litigation. In the residential arena, Bresky represents landlords, cooperative corporations, condominiums, homeowner and civic associations, serving as general counsel and providing day-to-day guidance with respect compliance and operational issues and handling all litigation. Bresky has also represented clients in an array of business disputes, including, breach of contract, partnership and fiduciary disputes and business torts. Prior to joining Rosenberg & Estis, Bresky served as Associate General Counsel to ATCO Properties & Management, Inc. Prior to his tenure at ATCO, Bresky was a litigation associate at a multidisciplinary law firm. Having gone through the revolving door of private practice to inhouse counsel and back to private practice, Bresky is uniquely situated to evaluate each matter and offer clients a variety of corresponding resolutions tailored to meet their specific needs.

Arielle Frost

Arielle Frost joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2011 and is a Member with the firm's Transactions Department. Arielle's practice involves all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions. She has specialized expertise in structuring and negotiating real estate joint ventures and utilizes her deep knowledge of the commercial real estate lifecycle to advise developers, investors and other market participants in the implementation of joint ventures for various classes of real estate, including both single asset and portfolio transactions. Arielle also regularly represents clients in real estate development matters, purchase and sale transactions, mortgage, mezzanine and preferred equity financings, and retail and office leasing.

Dejan Kezunovic

Dejan Kezunovic joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2018, and is Counsel with the firm's award-winning Litigation Department. Dejan represents developers, owners, landlords and tenants primarily in connection with complex commercial disputes. With a three-year clerkship experience in the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court under his belt, Dejan strives to provide objective, efficient and result-oriented counsel, allowing his clients to reach economical and practical decisions that best serve their business needs. Dejan also represents clients in connection with alternative dispute resolution, partnership disputes and residential real estate matters, including landlord-tenant disputes, rent laws, loft laws, condominiums and cooperatives. He is also well versed in the myriad of legal issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. Dejan's life story is one of adaptability, development and growth. Arriving from ex-Yugoslavia, he began his American dream at the age of seventeen in a small town in Missouri. Today, he is part of an award-winning litigation team and is counseling some of the biggest landlords and developers in New York City. Prior to joining Rosenberg & Estis, Dejan was an associate with Littleton Park Joyce Ughetta & Kelly LLP, where he practiced complex commercial litigation. Dejan clerked for three years for Hon. Melvin L. Fletcher Corley joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2021 and is an Associate with the firm's Litigation Department. For over a decade, Floyd has provided guidance and daily legal advice to one of the largest managers of real estate properties in New York overseeing thousands of tenants. Jeffrey Turkel

Jeffrey Turkel joined Rosenberg & Estis in 1983 and is Special Counsel with the firm's Administrative Law Department. Turkel represents clients in all phases of litigation and appellate practice in the New York State courts and has successfully represented hundreds of owners in proceedings before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, the agency that administers rent stabilization and rent control. Turkel is frequently called upon by such groups as RSA, CHIP and REBNY to represent the real estate industry in litigation and appeals affecting the industry as a whole. Over the past three decades, Turkel has won many important and ground-breaking appeals in the areas of real estate, rent regulation, landlord-tenant, condemnation, and constitutional law, including 60 East 12th Street Tenants' Ass'n v New York State Div. of Hous. & Community Renewal, Pultz v Economakis, Riverside Syndicate v Munroe, KSLM Columbus Apts., Inc. v New York State Div. of Hous. & Community Renewal, 520 East 81st Street Assoc. v State of New York, Olsen v Stellar 110 West, LLC, 925 D Realty LLC v New York State Div. of Hous. & Community Renewal, and Georgia Properties v. Dalsimer. Turkel recently won a major victory for the real estate industry in the New York State Court of Appeals in Altman v 285 West Fourth LLC. The landmark decision, issued on April 26, 2018, prevents the restabilization of tens of thousands of New York City apartments that had become lawfully deregulated between 1997 and 2011. As a result of Turkel's argument, the Court of Appeals unanimously reversed the order of the Appellate Division, First Department, and declared the apartment in question, and by extension, all similarly situated apartments, to be exempt from rent stabilization. The Court of Appeals also vacated a $165,000 overcharge award that had been granted to the tenant. From 1997 to 2022, Turkel co-authored the Rent Regulation column in the New York Law Journal. He is a frequent media source on rent regulatory matters and has been published extensively in such journals as The New York Real Estate Law Reporter, of which he is on the Board of Advisors, and Environmental Law in New York.

Nicholas DiLorenzo joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2020 and is Counsel with the firm's Tax Incentives & Affordable Housing Department. DiLorenzo's practice focuses on real estate development, with a specialization in tax incentives, affordable housing, and development bonuses. He assists clients in obtaining real estate property tax exemption and abatement benefits (421-a, 420-a, 420-c, Article XI, J-51, FRESH, ICAP, M-CORE, etc.), securing bonus floor area development rights through various New York City programs (Voluntary and Mandatory Inclusionary Housing, AIRS, PFASH, FRESH, etc.), and negotiating land disposition agreements, regulatory agreements, and restrictive declarations with the City. Norman Flitt

Norman Flitt joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 1995 and is a Member with the firm's Litigation Department. As one of the firm's most experienced trial attorneys, Flitt has handled numerous jury and non-jury cases in a broad range of areas. He has also argued appeals before the First and Second Departments of the New York State Appellate Division, the New York Court of Appeals, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. His cases have included disputes involving commercial and real estate contracts, residential and commercial landlord/tenant issues, mortgage foreclosure and mechanics' lien proceedings, cooperative and condominium disputes, disputes involving corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, and brokerage commission actions. He has also handled commercial and labor arbitration before the American Arbitration Association, and rent regulatory proceedings before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal. Flitt has taught courses in brokerage law at the New York University Real Estate Institute and the Real Estate Board of New York, Inc. He has also participated in seminars sponsored by the Real Estate Board relating to broker disclosure. In addition, Flitt has negotiated directly with representatives of the New York Department of State in areas pertaining to brokerage disclosure and licensing requirements. Spencer Romoff

Spencer Romoff joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2023 and is a Member with the firm's Transactions Department. Romoff advises on a sophisticated range of corporate, real estate development, joint venture and transactional matters. His practice focuses on real estate development and construction (ground up, rehabilitation and adaptive re-use), debt and equity financing, and acquisitions and dispositions. Romoff started his career as a tax lawyer at Proskauer Rose LLP, in Manhattan, giving him the added capacity to advise clients on the fundamental tax implications of their transactions and to assist in structural tax planning. Further, Romoff spent 15 years of his career as General Counsel & Executive Vice President at a privately held New York real estate investment and development company, providing him with "client-side" perspective, and the ability to add value on business matters, as well as providing legal expertise.
