Ronald Poppe received his diploma about the study of germanic languages such as German, English, Dutch and the Scandinavian languages : their litterature is analysed and especially the origine of a word in these different languages is looked for : the phylology... During 5 years of study, the Professor had chosen pure finance, being : think like a banker, take decisions like a CFO, calculate the value of a share quoted at the Stock Exchange or not like an investor, try to avoid risk like a trader ,etc… He left the university as primus inter paris with large distinction. The Professor was invited to become Phd, but as he was very busy in his professional life, he postponed this challenge until he would take his pension and would have more free time available.
