Rob is the President and CEO of Strategic Financial Solutions, Inc., a financial services consultancy established in 2001 and specializing in risk management consulting, training, and seminar delivery. He also directs the ESG integration program and regulatory initiatives at Angel Oak Capital Advisors, LLC, a $17 billion Registered Investment Advisor. Rob previously managed the operations of Angel Oak Consulting Group, a bank risk management advisory practice. He was formerly Angel Oak's Chief Risk Officer and managed the implementation of an enterprise risk management (ERM) program and directed the SEC compliance program. He is an instructor for many organizations and industry groups including the Federal Reserve, the FDIC, the Structured Finance Association (SFVegas), and the Information Management Network (ABS East). Rob is currently on the UN Principles For Responsible Investing (UN PRI) Structured Product Advisory Committee as well as the Structured Finance Association (SFA) ESG Task Force. He is a founding board member of the Fixed Income Investor Network (FIIN), the leading buy side industry group for structured finance/securitization professionals. He is also an Executive Director of the Global Financial Markets Institute. Rob's primary areas of specialty include: Risk management strategy implementation and assessment for financial institutions and organizations engaged in credit extension, investments and capital markets activities Asset/liability management (ALM) and risk management hedging strategies Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program integration for investment strategies and institutions Enterprise risk management (ERM) implementation and assessment Derivatives, structured finance and securitization activities Rob was with the Federal Reserve System for twelve years as an economic analyst and a commissioned capital markets examiner. His primary focus was designing financial institution risk analytics, evaluating regulatory policy proposals, and assessing the condition of complex domestic and internationally active financial institutions. Rob was also instrumental in developing an internal statistical model which estimated CAMELS risk ratings for banks that have not been recently examined. He also chaired a Federal Reserve System-wide committee to design, develop and deliver a technical training curriculum for specialized capital markets examiners across the country. After leaving the Federal Reserve System in 1998 he joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a senior manager, where he provided capital markets and risk management expertise on technology implementation projects for both domestic and international clients. Rob earned a BBA from Emory University in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance and Economics from Georgia State University.
