Seattle Photonics Associates was founded in 1999 during the dot-com boom when there were many start-ups and a strong need for optical design and analysis support in the Pacific Northwest. Seeing that there were more ‘positions available' than qualified bodies to fill them, SPA was formed... Since then, Seattle Photonics has expanded and worked closely with a small but dynamic group to fill a few other needs within the optical systems design and analysis community, including: mechanical engineering, optical lab technicians, analytical optical modeling as well as electrical engineering design and prototyping. To support the growing prototyping and manufacturing side of the business, SPA moved into a larger facility and added our own machine shop and expanded lab space in 2013. Our machinists bring over 40 years of experience in high precision metal and plastic fabrication...
