He is a registered Professional Mining Engineer in Alaska. He has several industry publications and professional affiliations to his credit. He is an active member of numerous professional associations, including SME-AIME, NWMA, and the Resource Development Council of Alaska (RDC). He founded Anchorage-based On-Line Exploration Services Inc. in 1982.
