Alysha Guthrie

Alysha is passionate about community, business, and economic development. She is driven by her desire to see our shareholders and descendent shareholders prosper for generations to come: "I am honored to be selected to be a part of the team setting the vision for our corporation and driving positive change that our great-grandchildren's children will be proud of." Alysha resides in Juneau with her daughter, Amara. She works in the Office of Management and Budget within the Office of the Governor for the State of Alaska. Her professional experience includes program management for both tribal and public sectors, including a broad range of industries such as housing planning and pre-development and marketing Alaska seafood internationally. As a previous scholarship recipient, she has a strong desire to give back to our native community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Fort Lewis College and a Master of Business Administration from Washington State University. She earned a Masters Certificates in both International Business and Finance. Her Tlingit name is Yaanas.ix Ch'aak, she is Tlingit Eagle/Wolf, Kaagwaantaan, and Haida Raven/Owl, Gut ga Niis. She grew up as a Gajaa Heen dancer in Sitka and danced with the Sheet'ká Kw áan dancers when the Sheet'ká Kw áan Naa Kahídi was first built. Her parents are Rick and Kathy Paden of Sitka.

Carmill Goldsberry

Carmill Goldsberry was hired in August 2022 as an Accountant for Shee Atiká and promoted to Controller in June 2023. She has over 15 years of accounting and management experience for Alaska Native Corporations and small businesses. She holds a degree in Business with a concentration in Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Originally from Bristol Bay, Carmill grew up in a traditional Aleut family spending summers subsisting and putting away fish and berries. She is tribally enrolled with Naknek Village Council and is a shareholder of Alaska Peninsula Corporation and Bristol Bay Native Corporation. It wasn't until after her grandma passed away that she really reflected on how much knowledge had been passed down all those summers ago in Bristol Bay. Carmill and her husband LieuDell are parents to Mecca, Guy and Dane who keep them busy with sports and activities. They subsist off the land as much as possible and continue to teach their children those traditions.

Chris Turnham - COO

Chris Turnham is the Chief Operating Officer (COO). He joined the Shee Atiká family of companies in 2019 as the COO of Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR). In 2021, he was promoted to President of ANR and grew ANR from $13.5M to over $50M in annual revenue during his tenure. In January of 2024, he was elevated to his current role. Chris is instrumental in overseeing the daily operations, optimizing processes, and contributing to the strategic direction of Shee Atiká. Chris has 25 years of experience in information technology and business management. His experience also includes work in manufacturing, government contracting, as well as health safety and environmental (HSM) for a large commercial company. Before joining ANR, he served as the Lead Systems Engineer on a commercial and government contractor and as Director of Emerging Technology at an 8(a) government contractor. He is a 2001 alum of Auburn University with a degree in Business Administration-Management Information Systems. Chris lives in Alabama with his wife Erin, their two children, and their dog.

Faleene Worrell

Faleene Worrell brings a wealth of knowledge and a decades-long career to her role as our Corporate Compliance Manager. She began her career at 16 working at the Sitka Employment Center followed by positions with the Alaska Legislature as a non-partisan information officer and a legislative aide in the Speaker's Office. Drawn to public service positions and accounting, Faleene has worked for the Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority, SEARHC in Juneau and Huna Totem Corporation. Prior to these positions, she worked at Shee Atiká headquarters for 11 years and served as a member of the Shee Atiká Scholarship Committee, including a term as Chairman. Faleene was also elected to the Shee Atiká board in 2014 and 2017. Originally from Sitka's Katlian Street, known as "the village", Faleene, Aanudu.oo, is Tlingit from Kayaash Ka Hit (the Platform, or Mother Coho House) on Katlian Street, which is known as a "living" clan house that is still in use today and cared for by Faleene's brother. Her moiety is Raven and her clan is L´uknax.ádi. Her mother Shaaxaatk'í, Mary Irene Miller, is also from Sitka. Faleene also recently discovered her father, Neil Fisher, of Arizona, originally of Iowa.

G. Ken Truitt - Treasurer

G. Ken Truitt was elected to the Shee Atiká Board in September 2020 and re-elected in May 2023. He is Raven/Coho and the son of the late Dr. Gil and Shirley Truitt. His Tlingit names are Kadashan and Tuk´ Sāēk. Ken lives in Juneau with his wife Charlotte, and together they have raised four daughters Madison, Marissa, Sydney, and Elena. Ken is currently staff in the Alaska Legislature, most recently staff to the Senate Finance Committee. Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Oral Roberts University and a Juris Doctor from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Conner College of Law and has taught school in Angoon, Alaska, served as an Assistant Attorney General in the state's Office of the Attorney General, as General Counsel and interim President/CEO of SEARHC, and Division Director of the Alaska Pioneers homes.

Heleena van Veen

Heleena van Veen (Chapman) recently joined the Shee Atiká team in April of 2022 as an Accounting Technician. Before this position, Heleena worked at SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center from 1997 to 2021 where she learned and gained much experience. A proud wife, mother and grandmother, Heleena was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska, which she still calls home. Her Tlingit name is Kawoot ‘ke and moiety is Raven/Coho, L'uknax.ádi. Her mother and father were Helen Dora Chapman from Yakutat, George R. Chapman from Atlanta and New York, and her grandmother was Emma Williams from Yakutat and her Grandfather Ned Williams from Kake. With a large family, she loves having dinners with them, taking her grandchildren to the playground, and on long walks. She also loves to challenge herself with new opportunities to learn and grow.

James Craig

James Craig (Kaa Kaa) is the son of the late Arlene Gamble and Darin Craig. He is the grandchild of the late Arthur Gamble and Anita Wright. James is Kiks.adi from the Clay house (Se Hit) in Sheet'ká Kw áan and a grandchild of the Kaagwaantaan (Eagle/Wolf) clan. He received his political science degree from Fort Lewis College in 2011 and recently completed Masters of Public Administration-Tribal Governance program at Evergreen State College in 2016. James has experience working for ANCSA Corporations, government agencies and tribal entities. James is an avid hunter, fisher and lifelong learner. James was appointed to the Board to fill the seat once held by former director Francine Eddy Jones and was then elected to the board in 2019 and again in 2022, each for a three-year term.

Kevin Mosher

Kevin Mosher began his career with Shee Atiká in 2011 as an Accounting Technician before he was promoted to Accountant. His primary responsibilities are accounts payable, reconciling vendor accounts, maintaining fixed asset backup records, and assisting accounting staff as needed. Kevin is also responsible for overseeing Balanced Accounting Solutions, LLC. After graduating high school, Kevin enlisted with the U.S. Coast Guard and led him to Alaska where he was stationed in Sitka on the Coast Guard Cutter Woodrush. After leaving the Coast Guard, he decided to make Alaska his home. Kevin received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Alaska, Sitka in 2002. Kevin is married with five children. He was elected to serve a three-year term on the Sitka City Assembly in 2018 and again in 2021.

Kori Lindstrom

Kori Lindstrom was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska, and is Eagle/Killer Whale. Her Tlingit name is Kéet daaklee.ít'ch. Kori is the daughter of Carl George Lindstrom III and Kathleen Rose Rouse. Her maternal grandparents are Claudia and Willis Donnally. Her paternal grandparents are the late Carl George Lindstrom II and Georgianna Paul. Kori first joined Shee Atiká in 2006 as a Shareholder Services Intern. Over the years, she has also served as Records Clerk, Accounts Payable Technician, and Administrative Coordinator before holding her current role of Shareholder Relations Manager. In December 2013, Kori graduated from Fort Lewis College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She enjoys playing softball, volleyball, camping, spending time with her family and close friends, and hiking in her spare time.

Larry Garrity

Laurence "Larry" Garrity, Kichnaalx of the Deisheetaan clan, was first elected in 2017. Larry was raised in Sitka, the grandson of the late John and Mabel Didrickson, son of Joni Lewis, and father of five daughters. He resides in Sitka with his partner, Dionne, and two of their daughters. As one of the original Gajaa Heen Dancers, Larry has felt the need to give back to his Native community and has been volunteering at SNEP, instructing dance, and also with the Naa Kahídi Dancers. A certified journeyman electrician for 35 years, Larry served on the Apprenticeship Board for I.B.E.W. and has spent the last 21 years in Alaska's oil industry. While at Alyeska Pipeline, Larry helped initiate a committee to implement Section 29 and also served as chair to ensure the oil companies fulfilled their obligation of Native hire. He also served as the project lead on the vapor recovery project and the pipeline electrification at Alyeska. A certified Infrared Technician, he helped develop the Infrared Program at both Alyeska and BP, and also served on hiring committees and diversity committees at both companies before he retired. Larry utilizes his experience and background to bring another perspective to the board room.

Lauren Estes

Lauren holds the position of Payroll & Benefits Manager. She attained her Associate of Applied Science Degree in 2010, and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Administration Degree with Accounting emphasis from the University of Alaska Southeast, graduating in 2013. She oversees payroll and benefits for Shee Atik á's family of companies. Lauren also oversees the Shareholder Distribution process. Prior to her employment with Shee Atiká, Lauren worked in Juneau for the Alaska Department of Labor for over 10 years in various positions of Employment Security Tax, including Registration Supervisor and Accounting Supervisor. Lauren was born and raised in Sitka. She is the daughter of the late William Burkhart, Sr. and Daisey Burkhart. She is of the Eagle moiety, Kaagwaantaan and comes from the Eagle Nest House. She is the granddaughter of the late master carver George D. Benson and Mary Benson. Lauren and her husband Charles are the parents of five children: Kevin, Leilani, Makayla, Anna, and Evangelina.

Lowell Frank

Lowell is the son of Nelson and Jean Frank. He is Haida, Eagle. Lowell grew up and attended school in Sitka. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and has spent the majority of his career working in the lumber industry managing lumber yards in Sitka; Salinas, California; and Rock Springs, Wyoming. Lowell's board experience includes service with the Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce, Sawmill Cove Industrial Park, and Sitka Golf Association. Lowell currently lives in Puyallup, Washington.

Megan Roderick

Megan was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska, and was hired as an Accounting Technician for Shee Atiká in 2022. She spent nearly a decade living on Kodiak Island and has returned to her hometown. Megan enjoys harvesting the bounties of subsistence and beachcombing. She is excited to be a part of the Shee Atiká team, learning and taking on new business challenges.

Mike Linville - CFO

Mike Linville is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He began his career with Shee Atiká as the Vice President Business Management of Shee Atiká Enterprises, LLC in August 2021 and was later promoted to the same position in Shee Atiká Government Services in September 2023. In his capacity as CFO, Mike oversees crucial financial functions such as financial planning, cash management, and financial reporting. Additionally, he plays a vital role in supporting the company's strategic vision, ensuring that financial strategies align with broader organizational goals. This combination of operational expertise and strategic acumen positions Mike as a key leader within Shee Atiká, contributing to the company's success and growth. With over 20 years of management and corporate finance experience, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His prior position at Northrop Grumman as Business Management Manager, where he managed financial operations for multiple departments with a $600 million portfolio, highlights his extensive experience in overseeing large-scale financial operations. Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Investment Management from the University of Alabama. He currently resides in Scottsboro, AL with his three boys.

Norma J. Perkins

Norma was elected as an Independent Candidate in 2019 and was re-elected in 2022. She was born and raised in Sitka and continued to live there until recently, when she moved to Wasilla. Norma is a Shee Atiká Shareholder of 100 Class A shares. She is the daughter of the late Raymond C. Perkins (also a former Shee Atiká Director) and Rosalie H. Perkins and the adopted daughter of the late Lucille R. Perkins. Her grandmother was the late Mary B. Perkins. Norma worked for the tribal healthcare delivery system (SEARHC) for more than 34 years. She began her career in Accounting/Finance earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. She then gained work experience and excellent mentorship that led to new career opportunities within SEARHC. Norma has held various senior management positions including Hospital Administrator. Semi-retired as of May 2014, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her great-nieces and great-nephews. In 2017, Norma re-entered the workforce as a contractor to perform minor accounting projects for the Center for Community. In 2018, she was promoted to Controller of the local organization where she worked until 2021, when she retired. As a board member, Norma is dedicated to serving Shee Atiká shareholders and being a part of the corporation's financial success.

Ptarmica Garnick

Ptarmica Garnick is the Chief Administrative Officer for Shee Atiká. With more than 15 years serving Shee Atiká and its shareholders, her previous roles include Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and Accountant. She has a Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Service Operations Management from the University of Alaska Southeast. Ptarmica is Raven/Coho and the daughter of Karen and Ole Taug of Juneau and Steve and Robin Garnick of Sitka. She is the oldest of nine children. Her maternal grandparents are Mary Lekanof and the late Flore Lekanof. Her great grandparents were Judson and Lena Brown.

Robert Allen Jr.

Robert Allen Jr. was elected to the Shee Atiká Board in May 2018. He is an Eagle/Kaagwaantaan of the Box House. He is the son of the late Betty and Bob Allen of Sitka, grandson of the late Ruth Dennis and Herb Martin of Juneau and Red and Betty Allen. His Tlingit name is L'uxshakee. Rob was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Sitka Community Hospital where he managed approximately 180 full-time employees and an annual budget of $30 million. Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Public Administration, both from Harvard University. He has extensive board experience having served on the Sitka Sound Science Center Board, the Citizen's Task Force on the municipal budget, the Sheldon Jackson College Board of Trustees, the Rasmuson Foundation Board, the City & Borough Assembly, and the Sitka Economic Development Association.

Robyn Schlins

Robyn is currently serving as Shee Atiká's Executive Board Administrator/Accountant. She has a previous background in Accounting and Human Resources from 10+ years of experience at a local credit union. Robyn holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management - Accounting concentration from the University of Alaska Southeast. Robyn is currently responsible for providing support to the board of directors by facilitating meetings, conducting administrative tasks, and providing support and communication between the staff, board, and committees. Additionally, she provides accounting support for our rapidly growing subsidiary companies as part of Shee Atiká's accounting team. Growing up in Sitka, Robyn cherishes fishing memories with her father and is grateful to share those traditions with her children today. She is a proud parent to Trey, Lena, and Thane of Sitka.

Roxanne Drake-Burkhart

Roxanne Drake-Burkhart was elected to the Shee Atiká Board of Directors in 2018. Roxanne was born and raised in Sitka, the granddaughter of the late Jacob Sam and Andrew/Bessie Kitka, daughter of Barbara Borgen and the late Paul Drake. She resides in Juneau with her husband, Ted Burkhart, since 1989. She has two children, Zach and Stephanie, and have three grandchildren, Kayley, Nicole and Greyson. Roxanne's employment history includes 33 years in the accounting profession holding various level positions in Juneau. She has worked for Tlingit & Haida Regional Housing Authority, Sealaska Corporation, Klukwan, Inc. and currently Inside Passage Electric Cooperative (IPEC), formerly known as Tlingit-Haida Regional Electrical Authority (THREA). She began her employment with THREA in May of 1995 as a billing officer, then senior accountant and presently is the controller for IPEC. Roxanne has served on Big Brother/Big Sisters of Juneau, Glacier Valley PTO boards and currently serves as a director on the Kwaan Electric Transmission Intertie Cooperative, Inc. board. She has always felt the need to give back to Shee Atiká and its shareholders; serving on the board was one way to accomplish this goal. The next generation needs to feel empowered as they can and will be vital to our corporation's future success. Encouraging our shareholders to pursue higher education and to be culturally involved with our community can only enhance the value of our corporation. Roxanne utilizes her education and work history to serve Shee Atik á's shareholders.

Steve Karpstein - Chairman

Steve was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. His parents are the late Bernadine McGraw Karpstein and Carl Karpstein, and grandparents Zenia Hanlon McGraw and Donald McGraw, Sr. Steve graduated Sitka High School with the Class of 1982 and went to Central Washington University where he studied Business Administration. He spent his early years in a career managing concrete manufacturing sites in Everett, Washington, and surrounding areas. That role led him to a career in Information Technologies (IT). He and his wife currently live in Battle Ground, Washington. Steve was an IT consultant for four years prior to starting his own IT consulting and business process re-engineering corporation, where he was the President and CEO for 17 years. His company partnered with several domestic and international clients to design and implement solutions worldwide. Upon leaving consulting, he took a position as Director of Trading Processes and Solutions with a global athletic footwear and apparel corporation located in Beaverton, Oregon, where he has been in this role for the past seven years. He leads a team that focuses on trading, customs and supply chains processes globally. He is dedicated to bringing a strong business experience and leadership that will contribute to the continued success and growth for the shareholders, Board and Corporation.

Tim Castro - CEO, President

Tim Castro is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Shee Atiká. He joined the Shee Atiká family of companies in June 2019 as the President of Alaska Northstar Resources, LLC. In May of 2021, Tim was promoted to President of Shee Atiká Government Services, a holding company comprised of four 8(a) government contracting subsidiaries. Under his leadership, the team has grown its portfolio from startup to over $40 million in revenue through a strong sense of purpose and mission to provide meaningful value for shareholders. Having served in a shared role as Interim Senior Executive since September 2022, Tim is responsible for developing effective strategic planning, management, and operations across Shee Atiká's rapidly expanding portfolio of companies and business platforms. Tim has more than 20 years of experience that includes information technology, government contracting, and entrepreneurial startups. Tim is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems.

Tracy Orona

Tracy Orona Janitorial & Clerical Shortly after moving to Sitka from Colorado, Tracy Orona joined Shee Atik á in September 2017 as a janitor. Before relocating, she was self-employed in the cleaning and maintenance industry for more than 10 years in Colorado. Tracy is a proud wife, mother, and grandmother.
