AGILEMASTERY

In the early 2000s, I was given the opportunity to learn about computer and information security and to help start a consulting practice. Along the way, I earned several certifications (now lapsed) in cyber security. Our practice focused on helping software development teams understand when and where they made decisions during the development life cycle that had security implications so that they could make better decisions that would build in security, rather than "bolting it on" at the end. I enjoyed this work enough at the time... At the same time, our clients began asking about agile - what is it and why should we care? My colleagues started an agile consulting practice and when I started to learn about this values-based approach to software development and its potential to improve lives - not just for satisfied customers but for the developers as well - I was all in! I jumped at the chance to get involved and by 2006, devoted all of my professional energy to my agile journey.....
