Brent Schuurmans Brent Schuurmans' interest in horticulture and landscaping started with involvement in MIFGS, leading to managerial work with an established landscaping business. With considerble IT knowledge and project managmenet know-how, Brent's focus is on improving business operations, systems and processes.

With hort-science qualifications from the University of Western Sydney, experience in civil engineering and landscaping in Sydney coupled with big box and independent retail nursery sales in Melbourne, he is one of the most practical, approachable and solution-orientated people to advise on suitable trees for residential and commercial landscaping projects.

Gaby Mitchell Gaby Mitchell is the joint owner & Administration Manager. With many years experience in a number of key business support areas, her role at Speciality Trees encompasses finance, administration & infrastructure development.
Hamish Mitchell Hamish Mitchell is the owner and Managing Director of Speciality Trees. With a passion for trees in urban environments & a career that spans 30 years in amenity horticulture, plant management & development, production and plant marketing, he is a knowledgable resource in all areas of tree selection and consultation.
John Simpson John Simpson has over 15 years experience covering nursery production and hands-on landscaping know-how as a small business owner and sub-contractor. His ability to assist selection and co-ordinate the complete job, makes him an integral member of our sales team and a great place to start your enquiry.
Ryno Oppermann Meet Ryno Oppermann. Over 10 years of product development, marketing & quality assurance experience in the mining industry equipped him with a skillset he wanted to combine with his passion for urban trees. Now with a formal horticultural qualification from Melbourne Uni, Ryno is with us, specializing in the propagation of junior material right from the beginning!
With over 20 years in the industry, Shayne has a wealth of experience in fruiting and ornamental growing as well as knowledge in all aspects of nursery production and management from seed to sale and in containerised and bare-root supply. As in Ground Manager at our Benalla site his role is to ensure our high quality material meets customer specifications.
