In order to meet these demands, St. Morita set up its Research & Development Division in 2009. It was established with a strong vision of the future under the leadership of seasoned, highly competent and widely experienced R&D professionals. It started as a Product Support-Research & Development (PS-R&D) and Quality Control- Research & Development (QC-R&D) which in charge of developing adhesive and adhesive tape products. The department set the standards for the raw materials, process and products along with introduced efficiency in the production process by using minimal tools and simple facilities. In the beginning, the R&D focused its activities on studying; planning and developing new products with had potential of increasing the company's overall turnover.
